Here you go, Indycop!

Here's the detail on the ribbon and bow. Sorry it's not in the best focus, my camera's going the way of the dodo. The date is evidence to that effect, I would say.

This is the best photo I could come up with, shows the line where the reed was originally sewn on, and you can kinda see the stitching. The sweatband itself is VERY comfortable. Compliments to Graham on a job well, as expected!

Wore the Fed Dlx again today, after work of course, and got several compliments on it from folks I ran into; a few older gentlemen actually seemed genuinely jealous! I even took it into our local hat shop in Rapid City, Star of the West, and the owner was quite impressed with this particular Akubra. Since they're only available thru HatsDirect, they're not as well know as your Bushman or Campdraft, so..... there you are! A positive experience for a newbie stepping out into the world with something out of the ordinary.

Regards, Andy

Is that sweat wider than the one on your federation? It looks wider, the sweat on my Peters Bros. is wider than my federation and it may be the most comfortable one I have. Fits better on my big head I guess!:eusa_doh:

I didn't actually have it in my hands before it headed off to Optimo, but from the pictures I saw of it 'before', the Akubra stock sweat did appear a little narrower/shorter than this new one. Whatever, all I have to say is I love this hat! Hell, I'm wearing it right now as I type this, when I should be going to bed!!!

Indycop, did you see the news from Fedora? I know you just got your AB, but he has just stated that he SHOULD be getting all orders placed prior to Nov '07 shipped out before IJ 4 is released. :D CAN'T WAIT!!!!! :D

I chose a trusted old friend for today. I had all but forgotten this one. It is a Resistol Explorer. These are some photos of the hat that I have posted in the past. With a 2 1/4" brim, it is what I consider a stingy for me. The crown is bashed at 4 1/2, and the felt is thin and wears well. I enjoyed it so much today, I am sure it will be called upon more often.

Nice Bud! I would like to see that brim on you.
I dont really like to go under a 2 1\2 but the shorter brims may not look as out of place as I think.

Late in the day RBH, but you asked for it.

Thanks JT, it is the only one that I have ever run across. Original price was 11.95, color is Pigeon.

Dinerman, I started to type my reply to your latest post, when I realized something sounded familiar. Sure enough, RBH had said exactly what I was thinking! :eusa_clap :eusa_clap :eusa_clap :eusa_clap
