What Hat Are You Wearing Today 1?

My buddy from Tonga couldn't find any hats he liked at local stores, so he stopped by to see me.... long story, short = I sold him my hat that looked like this one, so I'm down 1 parabuntal! Looking sharp, Bob!

Thanks Doug! It's great seeing you and your wife sharing a love for hats and each other.

I don't think we have this species of mushroom in the Pacific Northwest. They are really cool. All we have are boring Chantrells:):) Love those vents! Anything cool on the game cam?

Thanks Mike! We found a couple of Chanterelles (and hoping for more). Only a couple of whitetail does on the cam. My wife keeps having me move it around until she sees the black bear that has been sighted by neighbors. I'd just as soon we never see it...

Keeping with the theme of nice crowns I see! The lines of this old Stetson are so classic. Way to make a statement today...
Thanks Red. It is a survivor.

That's a great hat!
Thanks Larry.

It wasn't for lack of quality; their goods are still around and looking like they could last another 100 years. That's a fine bowler, Michael.
Thanks Stefan. The store's history is a bit confusing to track down. But it's rather fun trying. I think Max Mayer decided to get out of the business after he became Postmaster.

Actually forgot to post my hat yesterday. Here they are (two hat day).

Another pair of impeccable choices. That tweed seems a bit heavy, is autumn peaking out there already?

Thanks all,
Michael

Thanks, Michael. It is still a bit early for tweed but it was a bit cool this morning.

Opinions seem to differ. I alway thought 2 inches was the limit, but there seems to be a growing following for the idea that it has to be under 2" for it to be a stingy. I'm with you that it depends a bit on the shape of the hat and brim wether or not it's a stingy. Nice looking Adam you're wearing today, Jeff.

I think I will call 2 inches a frugal brim with 1 7/8 and less being stingy.

Wow, that was an impressive parade of hats this week, Rodolfo! Hard to choose between them, but I like the look of that steel grey Gannon very much.
You have good taste my friend!! That steel grey rocks!!!

I do believe Michael is not working that felt shade now, it gave him trouble seemed to have different spots etc, not an easy shade to dye I believe.
