Took a break from work to go up in the woods to get the game cam card. Tossed on this Bailey U-Rollit. Found some coral mushrooms and will go back and get all I can after work.

Best, Eric -
I know everybody has chimed in about that ribbon, but WOW! This one looks like it has some substantial age to it. It was a joy to see this one. Thanks.

I don't think we have this species of mushroom in the Pacific Northwest. They are really cool. All we have are boring Chantrells:):) Love those vents! Anything cool on the game cam?

Very nice, what is it?

Mayser "Spezial" possibly mid 1950s.

Mayser ashtray turned out to be high quality. The drawings were done by Marga Trauthoft - Mayser.

Fantastic VS Johnny, great shirt too! Everyone needs a cap once in a while.

Sandra and I went to church for some afternoon doings today. I tried to dress down a bit, but the plum, blue and beige colors on the tie made me grab the natural Gannon with the slate/plum ribbon. Man, I love this hat!

It's hard to keep a straight face with her cracking jokes and making faces....

That is one super Gannon. Talk about versatile! I can see why you were distracted.

I've done that with ammo, LOL. I sold a 45 and thought I had sold off all my 45 auto ammo, then found 650 round of practice rounds in the back bedroom closet... yikes, more $$$ for hats!

BTW. what a nice 25!!!!!
Thanks Doug:
Ha ha...yeah.
Long as i don’t forget where my driver’s license is i’ll always know my name and where to take me. Lol
Love the pics of you and the Mrs. Always gives me a smile to see you two.

The Huckel is a real gem, Red. One of your best.

Thanks Stefan. For some reason I think this one might be older than I thought it was. Could be the feel of the felt.

Thanks Stefan. It's certainly one of my favorites.

Great set of hats, Stefan. The Brent really is a fabulous color. The others are great looking hats, too.

Thanks all,
Michael

The store that sold this one seems to have gone out of business at the end of 1917.

Have a great Friday,

It wasn't for lack of quality; their goods are still around and looking like they could last another 100 years. That's a fine bowler, Michael.

I thought I should buck the trend of tall crowns this morning. This San Francisco Hatter offering is kind of a mystery. Had to have the toasted sweat replaced by Mike Miller. The wine colored ribbon was a whim, but I like it. This hat has a liner protector that is not plastic, but does not seem to be onionskin either. I think it has some age, but I can't find anything about this maker. More research is required. Old timey center dent with side pinches gives it a 1920s feel.

Very cool, Mike. That wine coloured ribbon goes just about any hat.

Ok today i have another confession to make.
First, i am not bragging or trying to be pretentious just honest. I think i might be getting...err...forgetful to the point of stupid.
I have found two hats lately that i have no recollection of having even seen them. Someone wanted to know about a later Stetson 25 so i looked at mine for them. Today while moving them i found another and said WTF how’d that get here???
Couple weeks ago the dog knocked the top off an “empty” stack of boxes in the kitchen...yeah, the kitchen, and inside a 7XCB OR. Again, WTF, where the hell?? I’m afraid to throw anything away now...trouble!!
Today it’s the prodigal 25. I like it’s shape.
Be well. Bowen
I kind of like it when that happens to me (but it doesn't). Maybe your hats are breeding? You have a great stable, so it's not surprising that such thoroughbreds, like the one on display, would come out of it:D

That is a superb combination, Doug. Excellent look. The colours on the hat are outstanding.

I always thought it classified as such, but maybe the consensus is not? In this case I think the felted edge does all the heavy lifting for such a nice balanced brim shape.

Opinions seem to differ. I alway thought 2 inches was the limit, but there seems to be a growing following for the idea that it has to be under 2" for it to be a stingy. I'm with you that it depends a bit on the shape of the hat and brim wether or not it's a stingy. Nice looking Adam you're wearing today, Jeff.
