Ana's surgery was successful. The surgeon says everything went well, and she is recuperating. Thanks to all for your kind words!

Being out west in the USA must have put a little cowboy into you! Nice beard Christophe. Beautiful lines on that Borsalino.
It may well be! Will see how the bears thing works out, was a little surprised at the amount of white ... I was tempted to get a Western, but there is just no way to make that work (especially being part Japanese) in the U.K. or even London (which is cosmopolitan but not the more open forms of New York or Berlin)!
Week-end Wormser with a shirt I picked up in Eagle Nest, NM a couple of years ago.

Stefan, Thanks! The paper label is missing so I don't know the color. Not sure if that happened at Optimo Chicago but I don't have a prior photo. Optimo Chicago only works on their hats now. They could be heavy handed (wanting to replace more than requested) but for me they always did a very good job (and not a long turn around). Here are photos of the old sweatband. It was very dried out and just shriveled up when I was wearing it.Beautiful, Steve. Sweatbands don't last forever and the replacement is well done. What colour is this one?

Today it’s a hat for a friend to see, et al.
Borsalino Nutria 2X Featherweight. Some of the nicest lightest most obedient felt i’ve felt, bar none.
Who says you can’t wear brown with a fine WV tux!
More detail posted in the Borsa Brotherhood thread.
Be well. Bowen
Ha ha haIs that where you are, West by God? What part?

Thank you, Z! I love the Lounge for the same reason. The hats are a beautiful theme, but it is chatting and seeing you guys that I like the most. And if I'm accused of making the Lounge too Facebook-like, so be it. I like it like this.Verdad. We can all talk about hats and clothes and what not until we're out of breath, but it's the people who make The Lounge what it is.
@drmaxtejeda, I'm so pleased to hear Ana's surgery was successful. Prayers, and positive thoughts and energy, for her to have a complete recovery with as little discomfort as possible.
Thanks, Jim. I am a worrier, more than most, but this time I even got a headache.Good to hear that, Max. See? Worrying works!

Sold! Not preserving it. I have about 80 hats. So plenty to choose from. I should probably get rid of about half.

As I said before, that is the first cap I have really liked.Somewhat cooler yesterday. Wanted to grab on of my felts from the bedroom, but Simone was still asleep. Ended up with a wool Monsivais cap instead.

Ooooo again.A VS Wanderer (dove gray lightweight felt), the dogs and I took a dog walk in the decidedly gray morning skies. The smoke and effluent from the Canadian fires are affecting our skies. this morning.
