I was all set to go out and have some coffee in the yard under the Melvin panama when some boom boom showed up. So to run around and put some things straight as the rain showed up it was this Stetson 3X

I will return to the original plan in a bit after the storm passes. Since it's still supposed to get to 95 today.

That colour appears almost golden on my screen, Michael. Very flashy colour.

Brent the moss green has a charcoal ribbon. This was Michael's first ribbon work for clients. Here is a better pic.

My ribbon request for this Gannon hat was inspired by this Adams fedora.

A VS version.(Bluesmoke with matching ribbon)

A later Gannon. I asked for more detail in the gills for this one. (Natural with a cream ribbon)

Brent, apologies as my answer to your simple question I went down the gill ribbon path. Simple answer charcoal ribbon treatment.

I am out and about in a Supernatural Ecuadorian Milan this humid morning. It is truly a lovely hat.

After 80+ years old the leather sweat is showing some wear. I am not disappointed or surprised that it is wearing out.

Best, Eric -
Wow, that's quite a parade of hats, Eric.

That is outstanding! Amazing how the hat reflects the colors of your shirt and tie. Excellent pairing!
It has cooled down a bit (only 96) so I decided to wear a felt for services this morning. This was the first vintage hat I acquired. It is still my favorite in my collection. I don't have any hats that I don't like. But this hat -- it's just special.

I don't want to gross anyone out with photos, so let me just say that I decided to wear just one hat - a baseball cap - until I'm over my skin treatment. As @Redfokker said just recently, I don't want any of my hats to "suffer from the hairstyle products" I'm using to treat my condition.

Good thing I made that choice. A recent look at the cap's headband shows spots and (for lack of a better word) grunge. I tried cleaning it with a wet sponge, and no go. I shudder to think what the state of my hat collection would be if I'd continued wearing them during this ordeal.

The good news is that the treatment is done and I'm now one week into healing. Already my face looks less ravaged. I'm to give a customer training in just under two weeks, so I'm hoping it will be almost unnoticeable by then.

Nice to see you back, Fred. I think we all understand not wanting to damage a hat.
