With your hat arsenal, they don't stand a chance, Mike. Wonderful Knox.Almost finished packing the car for a trip to Seattle. I'll be meeting a lot of new people (my wife's friends) so I'm going for hats to impress. They might not even notice, but I will. Nice and cool today so the drive hat will be the Knox Premier Strat clone.

Careful Fredrik, they are addictive. Nice looking Borsalino. Mid sixties to mid-seventies I think.Just unpacked my first vintage (I have no idea how vintage) Borsalino, and I'm starting to understand why fur felt is the prefered material. (Bonus: shirt colour matches hats inner lining).

Great parade of hats, Jeff!
This morning starts with Texas Hatters Cuenca bowler, because of That amazing Texas Hatters half breed posted earlier.
Yesterday was a morning Stetson 25, and the day before I wore both a montecristi ultrafino and a Brown belamy homburg .

I know, I know. Started with wool (mostly Stetson), because that's what were available here, at a reasonable price. Gonna keep a couple, but upgrade one by one.Careful Fredrik, they are addictive. Nice looking Borsalino. Mid sixties to mid-seventies I think.
Hmmm. I find half-breeds disconcerting, even if I am one myself.

Really, Jim? How long have you been into hats? Were you already a hatophile before joining the Lounge?

Thank you, Jim. Is San Juan as beautiful as the pics?My joining and my enthusiasm coincide with my hatophilia. In, I think 2011, my wife and I were on a Caribbean cruise that ported out of San Juan. We went down a couple days early to see the siites prior to setting sail. I told myself that, since I was going to be in Old San Juan, I was going to get me a gen-yoo-wine Panama Hat. Stopped in a place in OSJ called Ole, and found a fairly nice one to wear during the cruise, and I thought I didn't look as stupid in a brimmed hat as I had previously thought.
Fast forward to 2014, when I decided - as a middle-aged man - I needed a real dress hat. So I visited Gus Miller at Batsakes in Cincinnati and he sold a Selentino Sterling to me. About the same time, I found this place, and Alan, and Perry, Ant, Greg, Bob Roberts, etc.
You know the rest of the story, because you've lived it.
