Needed to put on a long sleeve light shirt to fend off the bugs this evening. Changed hats to a vtg.Stetson Vita-felt Playboy.

The ribbon has faded to a grand color.

The felt on this hat is unbelievable.

I am aging and hope I retain as much quality and panache as many of my vintage hats.

The older I get, the better I was, Eric -

Eric, both of these are phenomenal! bucket list type hats for me. Especially in those more interesting color runs they did on the playboys. I refuse to pay those eBay prices though. In any case, enjoy these slightly cooler summer days with style! Your panache has a ton of life left in it!

Jeff; Thanks for the kind comments. I seem to be finding more hats at all the sources other than Ebay of late. Serendipity I believe. I do like your Mallory. Your lord hats and bowlers inspire me to wear that style more often. Those hats are to comfy on the hat rack. The tea looks to hit the spot.

Good morning folks. Dog walk, FIFA World Cup, and grocery store were morning activities. Vintage Adam and Champ fedoras got the call this morning.

The above pic is a more accurate representation of the colored felt.

This fedora, while inexpensive in its day, is a terrific hat. Pristine condition and features makes it easy to wear. There is a time for a pre-creased vintage.

Last few days my Churchhill-style Tejas-color natural-price on sticker $25.Playing with cars yesterday.I'm liking the cattleman crease more and more.

Nice hat, cool car. Can't imagine on how many levels this car would be illegal on Dutch roads, but boy, that's a cool ride!

Early morning meeting found me wearing an inky blue vtg. Stetson Royal DeLuxe St.Regis homburg. I "casualed-up" the hat by putting some side-dents in the crown. The felt is grand and takes whatever detailed dent I would like to choose.

This hat is eye catching in its inky blue hues. As you can tell from my pics below it is hard to capture the hue. The under-brim shot is the most accurate.

It's hard keeping up with you guys and your terrific looking lids. For me today, it's this early '60s Royal Stetson clone of its own Open Road. Even if it doesn't have Open Road stamped on the sweat, as far as I'm concerned, it's still an Open Road...
