Mr. Weatherman has indicated that, for the next several days, the forecast is "Toasty."

So I guess a nice light-colored hat is in order. This Portis thin ribbon checks the boxes.

Sent directly from my mind to yours.
I wore my Portis today, too, Jim. Not too hot today, but they say 95F by next Wednesday.

Today earlier it was the Camo-liner in the wild. I know...you can’t see it.
Flyfishing with my Son. Damn i felt old.
Skunked again but the time was to treasure.
Thank you all for the recent kind words. Motrin then bed!!
Be well as you can. Bowen

Looks like a great day and the memories are better than any fish...but to be skunked :)

I dig the hat as much now as when I first saw it. Excellent!

Brent you are a kind soul. And you are so right about the memories. My Son needed this day and i felt like a Father should. Thanks for the kind words.
But...to get skunked stinks!! Again!! It’s a blue ribbon trout stream of very selective trout that would not succumb even to the Royal Deluxe Camo-liner!!! Drat!!
Next time they are getting a No.1 or something.

After some trials and tribulations, I finally came up with a suite of hats for the Alaskan Cruise. For the formal nights, I decided on the Borsalino Bismuto Lobbia c.1955, figured it would make a statement with a navy suit. I added a new Mercedes Benz 500K Award pin for good measure.
For the days not quite warm enough (probably will be a few) I chose the Hückel Special in blue/gray. This one will work for lounging around the ship as well. We will be taking a rail excursion on the White Pass & Yukon out of Skagway, so I thought an old timey 1920s Derby would be fun. And for the sunny fun days, the NW Hats Lt. Blue Duplex. I also tossed in a modern stetson Ivy cap. I think internet will be an issue, hopefully I can get some cell signal in ports to post on tapatalk. Otherwise, I'll see everyone after the week abroad.

Just back from a good Art Fawcett cleaning....40's / 50's Borsalino. Thanks Art! Looks great. Pairing it today with some shorts and hawaiian shirt as I head off to San Antonio to visit some of the military bases there. Borso & shorts? Why not? :)

That should bring the sun out, Michael. Great hat.
Thanks Stefan. Sadly it didn't work that way and I was riding my bike in the pouring rain. Fortunately I had switched to my Filson Shelter Cloth hat and it kept my head dry.

Great hat, Michael. That pug is superb; love it.
That is a pretty cool pug. That hat is the first of the two Hopoka straws that I found.

Yesterday and today.

Great hats and outfits as usual, Stefan. Must be cooler there than here. I'm already struggling today with the heat and humidity. Supposed to get to the upper 90s later with heat index around 105. I'm going to get out on the bike for a bit now under this Ecua-Andino Panama
