WHAT a Monday it IS!! Hope you all had a pleasant weekend.

Finally found my finely fashioned (by the fingers of Fawcett) felt, in light sage.

Also fun to mention are the comments [on this very hat] from this Saturday evening out in Boston's North End, a HOTBED of fantastic food and Italian culture. Our waiter was Lorenzo!

First, the restaurant owner came up to me on our way in to tell me how much he liked the lid.
Then, as we were headed out the door, a millennial-aged gal wearing a respectable cap came right up to me, also liking the hat, and also elaborated about the quality. I thanked her, and told her there is a decent hat store in that very neighborhood, "Salmagundi." She said she knew about it... she works there!

Great hat Charlie, and it's really cool when people give complements

But fitted me just perfect at size 57

1930s Dobbs Cross-country and a special visit from one of the neighbors

That's an exquisite hat to wear while watching horses cross country.

A vintage green hued felt Lee Commentator for outside chores.

A Cordova unlined cap for the first afternoon/evening to hit a high of 60'F day since October.

Is the soft felt a "Commentator" or a "Commander"? Sometimes my spell check screws up similar words.

Either way works. It both commands attention and makes the comment "I'm an awesome hat."

New arrival yesterday after a fortuitous BIN on the Bay late last week. ~1940s J.C. Penney Marathon Supreme Quality thin ribbon. This thing is perfect. Spent some time with the steamer and an iron last night to open it back up and give it a good brushing, but it didn't need much. The color is blue/grey and by my eyes these outdoor photos are pretty accurate.

Spent some time with the steamer and an iron last night to open it back up and give it a good brushing, but it didn't need much. The color is blue/grey and by my eyes these outdoor photos are pretty accurate.
