P. & C. Habig Vienna "Camber" with Ventilo probably early to mid 1950s. This hat was made for the American market. Also unique because it was a Dress style.

Incredible hat. That vent system on the sweat is interesting, don't think I've seen this one before. Cool.

Catching up from yesterday still. Loving the steel gray. I'm in the queue with Mike Miller for a Charcoal, maybe I might want to reconsider my choice.
Steel has more "life" thsn Charcoal Michael.

I have one hat in Charcoal, my least favorite shade, not gray, not black lots of ash in it... Just my 2 cents my friend!!

Have a great weekend

How are you all? It's a beautiful day today, cold, but lovely winter sunshine, just the job for my first excursion out after my hip operation. 14 weeks I've been in recovery, talk about bored. But the doctor said don't rush things and it was sound advice. Next month we're off to a Peaky Blinders inspired gig, the month after it's a Gangsters and Molls Party, but today kicks off the season with an all day festival. It's good to be back and as the sun is shining I am wearing one of my favourite straws by my favourite Belgian milliner.

A windy Saturday morning with predictions of wind/rain/ice then snow....yuck!One of Daan's UN blue military models.
I have always liked that color of blue. You can keep the peace in Iowa today.

Great ensemble Fabio.

I think this is my favorite style of thin ribbon, great looking Stetson. 1950s?

Nasty day outside here today. Will wear this around the house in any case. Penney's Marathon

Great to see you back up and around.

Great looking hat. And I always love the classic, vintage vibe that you bring.

That's a great hat. And it looks perfect on you.
The borsalino petrol again today, this time with the greatcoat. Almost perfect match.

The coat is just a great match for that sweet felt. Looks like one made in vintage heaven.
And yet another catching color. Hat envy!
Thanks Bill.
O my....Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy too! Superb, Matt.
Ha! Thanks Stefan.
Great hat for a sharp dressed man, Fabio.
Oh, the colors man, the colors...
Thanks Mike.
Third and hopefully last day of steady rain in Funkytown. Went with the BGGCD. It was either that, or something with gills.

Sent directly from my mind to yours.
Nice way to wrap up the wet weather. And your crease... Well... That does not suck.

Cool! What year did they move production out of Canada? Love the hat.

Thanks, Red - I think it was about 4 years ago that the Biltmore plant in Canada was closed, production was moved to somewhere in Texas if I remember correctly. There was a hat store online that sold a lot of the last hats with super deals at the time.

This morning was dark and rainy (yet again) and I wore my Black Cherry from John Penman to run some errands and vote in the primary. Gotta love the Texas early voting.

Thanks Red. It's an Amana Woolen Mills jacket that was made about 15 miles down the road during the '60s or '70s.

I really like the lines on this one.
Thanks Scotty. It's from my last small set of local hat buys last autumn or early winter. I kept the same hat, but tried some different clothes this afternoon.

I wanted to see what sort of adjustments this tweed 3 piece might need.

Thanks all,
Michael

When I see you like that, I often wonder what you'd look like clean-shaven.
