That is a fine looking hat. I really like the color play. Great pick up.

Michael
Very nice Stefan, I like everything about that hat except the size. Glad you got it.
Michael, Richard, thanks. The colour really is like no other hat i've seen before. Daniele felt the same way you do Richard; it has a 6 size tag inside it (size 59), but it fits me perfectly and I'm a 56!

This was the date stamped 1934 hat which I put up in the classifieds and fortunately went to a fellow Lounger. I actually felt a little sad when I boxed it up as it gave off a good vibe. It was just a little too big for comfort.

I know how you feel, Christophe. I've had a few of these hats that just don't work for you size-wise (and I still have some left), but are so nice you have a hard time letting them go. That one looks superb. At least you made a fellow lounger happy.

I showed it to my father who is a year older than the hat; he sighed and said he wished he looked that good after 84 years ...

You know you have a problem when you have more derbies than most people have hats and you forget about the difference between derby and bowler and call them all stiff hats and focus instead on the savory variations in crown height and crown shape and brim flange and bow swoop and you have to seek intervention from friends and family to keep from buying them all.

You only need to seek intervention if you run out of space to store them all!

Yup, still love it!
That cool stitching is just icing on the fuzzy cake with this Gamebird Matt. Love it completely.
Thanks, Mike.

Thanks, Matt. Love the fuzzy bird you have there.

Sent directly from my mind to yours.
Think I got a little head rush when I saw that one! I love that color, and the long hair, and the liner, and....

$12,50 you say? Sold! Love everything about it.
Super Bird Matt. The color and the long hair finish are really fine
Love the color. It looks blue/green on my iPad.
Thanks gentlemen. It's a special hat, that's for sure.

Bill, it is blue green. Teal, I guess. In the overcast morning, it looked a little bluer than usual. The best shot of the color is in the photo showing the liner.

Beautiful example, Alan.

When my family members say "do you need another hat like that? It looks just like those other ones?", I enthusiastically launch into my "But look at all of the subtle style and design element variations" speech (with examples if handy).

Generally... That makes them throw up their hands and go away (usually while shaking their heads and incredulous).

I guess I'm gonna have to hit rock bottom before I am willing to admit my derby/bowler/stiff felt problem and accept intervention. They are just such great hats...

Two hats from Italy came in yesterday. Daniele outdid himself this time. Had to try on the blue coloured borsalino that was on offer here in the classifieds first. Because no one jumped, I did. Glad I did; it is indeed a gem of a hat. Rodolfo (Chamuco) wore a petrol coloured Weis this week and this is a colour that comes close to that one I think. After try-out I narrowed the pinch a bit.

Great looking hat. I really like hats with "somewhere between grey and blue" colors. The color and size of that ribbon looks great against the felt, too.

Very nice pick-up.
