This morning American Hat Co.3X Clear Beaver(whatever that means).It is nice felt for a western weight hat,not really very stiff.

Nice hat Chuck. It looks like you are making up for lost hat time.

3X Clear Beaver is a measure of the translucency of the critter from which the felt was made. You can see through a 10X Clear Beaver more easily than you can see through a 5X Clear Beaver.

Here is a photo of 5X Clear Beaver. In spite of my diligent search, I could not find an image of a 3X one.

Cold morning of shoveling found me wearing a cap with the down hood over the top. Cordova Cap.

Working at the grill early afternoon had me in a Donegeal wool cap. Cold and arounb 4'f grilling chicken for pulled chicken for this evenings guests.
