Today beautiful day completely out of season
14 C ° is a crazy temperature on January 9th

Borsalino Trionfo color "Noce" model "Fazarsca" sold in Cava dei Tirreni - Salerno

It is one of the oldest Borsalino in my possession
The paper label is notched and with a colored border

The finishes are excellent and looks high end item. It could have been done in the late forties

The hat has some sign of time in the color of the felt (slightly fading) that should be cleaned professionally

Interesting is the color "Noce" that the historic Italian producers (Borsalino, Barbisio, Panizza and others) propose in interesting variations

Looks great, Jared. Is it the picture or is the felt really thick on that hat?

It's the felt, this is a pretty thick western weight body. Supposedly it was 'vintage' deadstock felt(of what vintage, unknown) that was was laying about in the Hatco factory.

I made this. I hand-carved my own block, pounced the felt (wool), made the band, created a liner, stiffened it lightly, and hand-creased the crown.

Kinda relapsed a little bit today. I got more active than I probably should have yesterday and I'm paying some for it today. Funny how recovery never seems to move along as fast as we want. At least I'm still better than I was a week ago. Anyway, a repost of this Resistol 3X that I reworked last year. Reblocked, recreased, and the brim reshaped. I'm wearing this Gus today. I just didn't feel up to getting out to get a new picture. So, a repost from last year...
