Another grey day in Verona. Misty hills and very low clouds with humidity

Panizza Super NOS from Meran

Made in the historical factory of Ghiffa, where now there is the "Museo del cappello", visited in March with Steve

The felt, with no name color, is fantastic as the matching with the ribbon color

Usually the names of the plants growing on Lake Maggiore were used to determine the name of the color of the felts

Panizza made marvellous hats, no so elegant like Borsalino, not so bold as Barbizio, but very, very fine in a classic Italian tradition
I take off my hat to greet you and thank you for your appreciation
Beautiful color and clean crisp edge Daniele. I like the matching ribbon/felt combination on this one. The bow is nice too.

Out for a day of errands wearing the recent delivered Borsalino Savoy, color Mogano (Mahogany) circa mid 1950s. The hat was a Borsalino American export that made its way to Marshall Field & Co. Then, somehow, back to Italy and then to Stefan in Volendam, and now back to the USA. This hat is a world traveler! This exchange with Europe will be going to Mike Miller in Eugene Oregon next week. Could not resist the temptation to give it a spin.

This one has an odd wind trolley, wraps double around the hat.

Fuzzy goodness Michael. It goes well with the overall look of keeping warm today. Impressive.
Thanks Red. I did stay warm.

That's a gem Red. The angora is a diamond. Great pickups.
