If you have one hat, you know what to wear. If you have dozens you end up standing next to your wife in front of a mirror comparing looks (as my wife frequently points out to me:)). Tough choice today between these:
Stefan to be out of doubt about what I put on my head, I open a box every now and then.
I choose and above all I keep all the hats, except someone, in my office so no one can avoid counts and ratings of the number of cartons and hats included, although the family has long been known about the collection. Impossible to hide!
The Resolut is my choice. Complimenti!

Catching up this morning after a long night scaring the populace of Albany. The Monteith Historical Society (an organization I'm involved with) sponsored our annual "Trolley of Terror"! I narrated a tour of the Victorian homes in the historic district, telling ghost stories of the old houses. They all seem to be haunted from spirits of the late 19th century! Didn't get a chance to recognize all of the great hats yesterday, but I did look and like most of them. If I missed someone, know that I am in awe of your greatness!

Rein haar heather

or the Leica velours

Of course, I'm a sucker for a beautiful Homburg, but the Leica Velour also gets my vote. Each are stunning examples.

Wow, tough choices indeed but the haar heather wasn't beaten into a clear second as I scrolled down.

No hat day here as Storm Brian is here. Why are they naming storms now? It's very Monty Python. It just looks like any dreary day out there. Maybe I'll do a still life shot later if I continue to successfully convince myself to not start sanding the pine ceiling in the kitchen.
Always look at the bright side of life Karl. I can't seem to remember so many big storms hitting Ireland in the news. You guys are the new Florida!

Gills! Beautiful lines Harv.

My Wednesday through Friday hat, a Mansfield Duracraft homburg, served me well for the Duke Ellington tour in Rapid City.

Borsalino water resistant this morning.
I need a water resistant hat today, pineapple express giving us 4" of rain today and tomorrow. Can you overnight this beauty to me here in Oregon?

Crown!

Thanks Mike.

The ribbon is much more like gold than yellow. It's an unusual color though. It leans towards "orange-ishness".

My thought is that whoever chose that ribbon back in the thrilling days of yesteryear was a friggin' genius. I'd gladly give him or her a hug!

Of course, that'd probably be gross since that soul is now undoubtedly deceased. Perhaps a posthumous medal is a better idea.

Here is a close-up from last winter.

Happy Saturday.

That is one of the most interesting vintage colors I've seen. That guy had a real sense of style. Put a flower on his grave...

The wind is quickly rising into cap territory, but this Royal Deluxe Open Road is finding itself secure at the moment,

Perfect crease, that rake should be somewhat aerodynamic. Great overall look, you have style my friend.
Wearing Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness and this Stetson seems to go perfectly with my ensemble.

i'm still drawn to that ribbon color with that felt. I might have to steal this combo.

Super nice, looks like it is from the 1930s.

Another grey London day in Verona

Dunn homburg in black, surely made in GB some years ago

Stefan gave me it in EU hats exchange and I started a little bit to love the English hat ;)

Very well made with excellent finish is on the stiff side of the road

So elegant and formal that is the right hat for a Saturday like this.
Thanks for the likes on the Stetson Absinthe.
Buona domenica!!!
Classic Daniele. Even in photographs, the quality of this Homburg jumps out. Love the taller crown.

Karl, thanks. We think alike: it was the heather I took out for a stroll. Careful with the sanding: you're still recovering aren't you?:)

All great but that homburg is outstanding!

Great homburg and great pics, bowlerman. Thanks for the comments; might be a two hat day tomorrow to give both the homburg and the velours a spin.
