One Too Many
Hey all!
Late post today. Just got back home from a day trip to the county seat. Passed a lot of blackened hillsides and melted guardrails on the way. Wore this Panizza that I got from Stefan.

Borsalino Como today I call it my Vertigo hat; from the Hitchcock movie that "Johnny" wears aka Jimmy Stewart.

Actually, the hat that Jimmy Stewart wears in Vertigo has a ribbon edge trim and the crown ribbon is much wider. There's a few parts in the movie where you can see the inside lining of the hat, and though I'm not familiar with the brand logo of the hat he wears, I know it's definitely not a Borsalino.

Thanks Steur. You were looking very sharp today in the Echter Mayser and navy coat. How big is the brim on that one?

I had to put away the Marathon for my bicycle outing and switched to my usual, lately, biking garb. Lands' End fishing vest with many, many pockets and a cap. In this case a nameless Donegal tweed model.

I found a new sweater on my outing so I stopped in the middle of a woodland mountain bike trail and took a few photos.

Some really great hats showing up here for the last few days. Beyond top notch.

Michael
Thanks, Michael. The brim is 7cm with a triple stitched binding. It manages to look wider than that somehow.

That's fairly wide in the world of fedoras. Looks good.

Thanks. I think I'll replay parts of it today.

Grey double breasted suit and borsalino homburg (amiata colour) today. Don't mind the stern expression: it's from staring into the sun on my phone.
