Decided on the Knox Strat Clone for my first day back into the real world.

Welcome back, Red! Great looking Knox!

So what color is that Portis, Doug? It looks variously lavender, light green and light blue in today's photos.

Great looking in any of those colors.

Michael
It runs from blue to violet tones of grey. Really an amazing hat from @moontheloon . He can send me any hats that fit like this, too. Perfect hat in every way. I'm notorious around here for changing things. I haven't changed anything on this one.... the crease, the pinches, the brim; nothing.

I will add this... I love Johhny Griffin, and here he is playing Griff's Groove with the Kenny Clarke, Francy Boland Big Band. Notice the two (2) drummers @moontheloon . Benny Bailey on trumpet is in high form as well.

Kenny Clarke ... aka ... Klook ... one of the biggest innovators of jazz drumming and what it became after him

he changed the way drummers comped ... and he was the originator of "dropping bombs"

props to Kenny ... a revolutionary drummer

One of my favorites Moon. That crease is just perfect.

Love that straight crown with a just a hint of a Cattleman. Great one Bob.

Out and about in this Portis Tissue-Lite. Love the felt and crease on this one.

Yay Portis! I'd never touch a crease that Moon graces one of us with either. My Sage Strat still has his finger prints.

Great color Bama! Is this one lined? Looks light.

I've been neglecting to show my other hat companion from the last couple of days. Royal Stetson from yesterday late afternoon,

And today after it accompanied my on my bike riding errands,

Probably '60s or 70s and just north of stingy at a 2 1/8" brim. It's been a frequent biking companion if I decide not to go with a cap.

This Stetson is a cousin to mine, great felt and brim width. Love the Ike Jacket (?) does it have a story.

Sitting on the deck in a modern stratoliner. Enjoying pug company.
Now that is a face! Love the hat too.

Thanks! Yes, The Blue-riginals are staring at me from the dresser haha. Maybe tomorrow =)

Your Knox is looking pretty snazzy!
Thanks Justin. I will enjoy seeing a Blue-riginal in the rotation from time to time.

Yes, that is a perfect band hat. The edge looks special, does it have the "guild edge" medallion on the sweat?

Art Fawcett today.

Aw shucks, Ant, thank you so much!

I have my days, like anybody, but have always felt that if you have a choice, it's better to keep a positive outlook.... dammit!
