Those are both snappy caps Michael. I need to start collecting these too. I have a modern Stetson Ivy Cap, but vintage seems the way to go.
Thanks Red. I get a lot of use out of my caps for bicycling. And in cold weather too, especially the earflap ones. They have the advantage of being inexpensive.

Heading over to campus today with my research on the 1967 "Giant Killers" reunion next month at Homecoming. Since I'll be entering "the House that Slats Built", Gill Coliseum, the NW Hats Slats Gill Playboy clone of 1935 will be on my noggin. I just can't enter this historic building on the OSU Campus without paying homage to one of our greatest basket ball coaches, Armory T. "Slats" Gill.

c.1920s Stetson Select Quality for todays events.

Taking the ol' mans dog to the vet for a checkup, grabbing some lotto cards, and enjoying the cooler weather we have now. Have a great say all!

What great shape and proportion that hat has. I think that was my favorite era for hat styles, though I've never seen one in the wild around here.

Thanks all,
Michael

Wonderful hats everyone!!! Went out and took some more photos of the car (great stress relief) before the rain storm lands.

Here is the only one I edited so far, if it wasn't so windy I was going to try to snap a shot of my hat on the hood, bit it's better to not chance it

Daniele, I'm envious of both the beautiful Borso and the weather to wear it in.
As always thanks for your appreciations

A very fine hat, Slats would approve. And a distinguished looking gentleman wearing it

Must be Whippet Wednesday, and the return of my only Whippet.

That Whippet and shirt are great. You have wonderful natural style.

Heat and thunderstorms on tap for today. And then into the 90s until next week. Crap.

Back to wrinkled linen and rayon for awhile I guess.

Have a good one,

Of all the brim up shots we have been posting, this one is a hoot!

View attachment 86601 :):)
You literally read my mind Mike! That was EXACTLY the look I was trying to create. I was giving my best Ed Norton impression :) I truly couldn't help myself as every time I see the brim up on a hat I picture Art Carney as Norton! Lol

As soon as I saw Mr. Garner's "brim up" photo I was immediately reminded of Art Carney's "Ed Norton" hat. Great minds think alike!

Your and others blue hats are sending me searching for one; very nice.

It always photographed black on my old phone, but a combination of different camera and the somewhat sharp light of an autum morning, essentially it's a deeper blue, but yes, blue is oddly alluring.
