Can't wait for the weather to change so my stiff felts can play. You look great in a Derby!

I've just been lurking for a while instead of posting. Haven't been able to get any new hats, but still wearing my old ones. :)

This is one of my favorite feeds on the inter-web...

My apologies for my recent absenteeism. Work has been an absolute zoo. So busy they pulled my vacation time that I had planned to take and head to Portland. :( I don't have much in the way of good hat pics but I do have a recent picture I am extremely fond of! It's of my soon to be son Jack Garner.

Thanks Red. Some hats are pretty happy brim up, others not so much. I think this one, my Pilgrim thin ribbon and the blue Marathon are probably the ones of mine that like it most.

Thanks Jim. That is a mighty pretty Playboy you have on today.

Great looking conversion Terry. You really have a handle on getting in the shape you want them to be.

Thanks all,
Michael

T Jones, beautiful conversion!

--------

enjoying the morning in this 50s Stetson Flagship. Had to shim it up, as it is a 7 3/8, and I'm in the 7 1/8-7 1/4 range, but I'm really liking it.... a lot. My first flagship, first hat with the wafer edge treatment, and I'm getting hooked

Thanks, Justin. The hat came out extremely well. I'm just going back and forth whether or not the style suits me. One minute I really like it, and the next, I'm thinking I'm not suited for the OR look. The ribbon and ribbon work, the finish, the reblocking, the new sweat, the cattleman crease, all came out very nice, but I just don't know if this style is for me, though. I'm trying to get used to it.

Great looking Flagship, and just around my size, too! ;) Since regaining my original weight after having two emergency surgeries from five years ago the 7 1/8s that I bought back then no longer fit me, which is too bad for me. One of them is a very rare late '40s Stetson Imperial in Suede Finish that looks like it could be the predecessor to the Stetson Tijuana. I've only seen two others like it and a Lounger, (barrowith?), has one of the two that I saw. Even Brad Bowers couldn't find info on it. It sucks that I like that hat and can't wear it anymore.
