I ran out to get freshly roasted coffee this morning in a Cordova Cap (linen).

Home, sipping coffee and burning Pine boughs and a couple logs. Changed to a vtg. Adams thin ribbon for this yard work.

I just got home from a great show, fantastic audience and and almost full house. Tonight's black hat was my Stetson Premier Derby. It has the "flexible conforming" stamped logo and is unlined. I did get a couple of comments from some patrons on this one. Didn't get a current pic today, so this is from the archives.

Glad to hear the show went well Red. The Stetson looks like the perfect backstage hat. I've been meaning to pull mine out for weeks now.

Thanks D. It was a good time. I thought the hat and clothes worked pretty well, but they were not the comment generators the tartan suit was. Ha ha.

Today will be hot. More jazz to be had. For this morning at least I'm catching some shade from the Ranchcraft two cord straw

It has a reeded leather sweat and if I'm interpreting the pencil scrawl on the label correctly it sold for $1.30. So I'm guessing it wasn't made yesterday.

Looks like a great jazz lineup. Tomorrow I'm supposed to be on the guest list for a bluegrass festival. Or alternatively I could go across town and see Tommy James and the Shondells at another free outdoor concert.

I notice your pins as much as the beauty of your hats. The iron cross appears to be small, is it the lapel version that winners of the medal could wear on their civilian suit?

I believe it is the actual size, and it's worn on the left side of the uniform jacket, it has a nice ribbon attached, but I took the ribbon away so I can wear it on the hat !!!
