Great Champ! The style, the perforated sweat and what looks like the use of ball point pen on the size label makes me think mid 1940's. I think ballpoint was first used widely in 1945.

BTW this person has four or 5 more Champs all in the same condition in similar boxes all in my size. I have to find a time to sneak back there! ;-)

Sweet! It is not a modern hat, I'm feeling safe in saying. 1950s would be a good guess. Love the details of this hat. Sweat, hat band, brim...yummy. Congratulations.

A vintage Setson Playboy worn this morning. This "Bon Vivant" is a big brimmed variant of this vintage line. The silver belly felt has the desirable clay-like touch. Perfect hat for the 50'F morning here in Minnesota, USA.
