Cliffs Notes to bone up for the exam.

Not to change the subject but a 20 yr old male was shot & killed here a wk ago. It came out in the paper that he was due to be graduating from a named high school which is in one of the better school districts in the area. At age 20? I thought it had to be a misprint. A friend of mine who teaches kids who are at risk of falling behind in that same district told me that there are 19 yr old kids scheduled to graduate in 2 wks that still need 16 credits! The district is giving them some exam that takes 20 min, & if they pass they will graduate; if not then they don't. She said a lot of the kids are taking up to 45-50 min to take it & the exam papers are sent in to the district to be graded so she doesn't see how they did. Sounds like the district just plans to pass them on thru.

SHEESH ! I guess even if they fail the 20 min do over , they'll graduate for Participating . Diploma and everything . Bright future no doubt . Sad about the 20 year old .
