Straw Hat Day. I spent some time yesterday rotating some felts into boxes and freeing up space for getting a few straws out. I still primarily wear felt in the summer, but some of my straws get some heavy head time, as well.

Kicking off the season with my Peters Brothers Milan namesake hat.

Today, my black 4X modern Stetson Open Road. Most of my hats are thin-ribbon, OR-style, but I only have two Stetsons - one vintage and this one.

The OR style is kind of classy looking in black. Gives it a whole new character. Nice.

Straining, strongly struggling straight for a stream of Straw, but not to be on this really rainy & raw STRAW HAT DAY. So here, for the premier (of the season) I'm stuck in a Knox Premier.

When it comes this day I always wonder if I'm happy or not

This is the day when it is difficult to wear felt hats

They go to hibernation. I have prepared the boxes and some will sleep until next fall

I hope I can still put some felt on my head, today, however, have reached 26 C° degrees and I think it will be getting harder

Now begins a laziness period and the straw hats are fit for the need

Thanks Mike. The tie is a special endangered species done by Katie Cundiff (http://dobsonart.com/works). The hat says Rene Menard Chapelleri Beaver Blend. I suspect it may be French Canadian. The original Rene Menard was a Jesuit French explorer who explored Canada in the 17th century.

Thanks Red. Yes, this is a black and white weave on the bottom of the brim and behind the band. The rest is sun faded. That was a fine Mallory and outfit you put together yesterday. Looking good.
