It was 71 when I woke up at 3:45 this morning. Currently it has leveled out at 53 with a strong breeze. Borsalino Black Hole

They tried to get a photograph of it for the dictionary, but they didn't have any luck either. It's existence can only be inferred by the total absence of light in it's vicinity.

That's a great hat. It's black holeyness reminded me of this happy thought:

Nice look with a pop of red flannel for flair. Is the black hole new? What is it's story?
It's not totally new Red, I posted it here once before. But it is fairly new to me. It's a velour traveler of some sort with a 3" overwelt brim, a rope band and a grosgrain sweatband. Here is a photo in better light,

Today I have it as a giant porkpie with the crown a tad under 4" as bashed and the brim 2 1/2" to the upcurl.

The flannel is vintage Woolrich wool.

My wife is being discharged from the hospital today after a fairly significant surgery. It's also our 16th anniversary today.

Decided to dress up for the occasion and bring her a nice flowering plant. Can you tell I'm excited to get her home?

Friday eve. Yippee.

Today it is supposed to be in the low 80s. Since the felt is so lightweight, I'm giving the Resistol Beaver Twenty a go.

Good morning. Cool, breezy and rain just like the past few days. This morning a dog walk in a vtg. Stetson Scoop. This small brimmed fedora is fun to wear.

I did pick-up limbs and bring the refuse to the curb wearing the new to me vtg. Adam Lightweight. Great lightweight brown felt that has a gill ribbon treatment. The ribbon and binding have aged to a great looking olive green. Lovely hat.

Thanks for letting me share. Best, Eric -
Yes, indeed the ribbon and bow are pretty slick and the Stetson scoop is real pretty.

That's a real nice thick rope band.
