Wearing my latest conversion, thanks to Anthony. This is a Resistol Western that I just finished converting, (yeah, I know. It's black). I sized it from a 7 1/8 to a 7 1/4, replaced the sweat and put a black two ply thin ribbon on it....I'll post more pics in the conversion corral.

Thanks, HJ. I don't seem to pull off black as well as others do, though. Some people look really good in the color.

TJ , you look great in that Black Western Resistol ! Fantastic Job . Seriously . You're just not used to Black , pretty sure . I know if I haven't worn a Black for a while I feel self conscious for a while . No reason why , its just different . Blacks are cool . Um Gowwa , remember the early 70s ?

Is this from the Esther who posts here? Or a brand called Esther. Forgive the noob question. I'm often finding myself searching for a hat that turns out to be a forum members name. "Ooh, I really like that Borsalino Carl....why can't I find that model?" :)

Really like the hat, jacket and scarf.

Hi :)

I do indeed make hats, I see you have found my thread. Always around if you might have a question.

This Borsalino arrived from the USA directly with Steve
mwxob6.jpg

Made in Italy and sold in Denver was brushed and well cared by Steve

"Amarena" is the color and "Gorasgu" the shape
72t72x.jpg

Fur felt "Peluche" finish, so a medium hair very soft felt

I bought it some months ago on the FL classified, no one seemed want it

It has provoked different reactions in the ladies in my office used to seeing every day Europeans hats.
Still, it was interesting to hear their opinions.
For my part I can tell you that it is hard to find European models of Borsalino with these imposing forms, much more usual in the US market ;)

Thanks for your Tonak appreciations

I'll settle for so so, but I do expect a great hat show here this week.

Michael
That is a great crease on that Stetson. Even though it is a grey day, your tie brings a little hope and brightness to the week.

Thanks! Yes, i can see how that leads to confusion [emoji3]

As Bob said. Esther Weis. She's a member and has her on thread with lots of great hats in it. She's also on instagram.

Instagram.com/estherweismillinery

And there's a website.

Pick a model, a color and a ribbon and off you go [emoji41]
