A cool and remarkably gray day here. But I'm feeling like a Champ

And for those of you who think my life is lacking color today, here is a shot from yesterday's sunny afternoon.

Is it a fine Thursday there? I'm off for the weekly food shopping.

What's with the concerned face, you ask? The wife and I noticed that ever since the new neighbors moved in across the street, our whole cul de sac reeks of the Mary-Jane. So much so, that the smell has been periodically stuck in our cars' air filters. I have no problem with people enjoying their sacred herb, but if this is how it's gonna be, then I think I have the right as a Filipino to flood their driveway with the smell of coconut vinegar...
Point the exhaust vent from the kitchen in their direction. Of course, this would only give them the munchies! Love the look my friend.

It's a young couple with kids... We're pretty sure they're hot-boxing in the husband's truck (parked outside) to keep the little ones in the dark about it. I guess I could passive aggressively let them know that the cul de sac is aware of their recreation by leaving munchy gift-baskets on their front porch.

Hey folks!
Many thanks for the likes and kind words on my recent posts.
Today, I wear this G.B. Borsalino fu Lazzaro & C. that I suppose is from around 1930. Formerly known as Merle due to the signature inside that may or may not be Merle Haggard. I just can't call it that anymore after having binge-watched The Walking Dead recently. Don't want to think about having Darrell's brother on my head...:D

I think Merle Dixon would appreciate the double stitched overwelt. Especially considering he's worn some pretty nice hats in his day:

Anyway, great lid! I'm a sucker for wide ribbons, and this one's got it in spades.

Filipinos have many horrific smell weapons in their arsenal. Coconut vinegar is just the beginning...

Now this stuff...

... That's next level ish.
I experienced more than a few food items offensive to the Western nose in my nearly 30 years as a cook/chef, but fermented shrimp paste had to be the worst Asia has to offer. If there is anything smellier, I'm glad I didn't have to cook it.
