I opened a box of French hats. Flechet de Luxe

High quality felt in deep grey. Shark gill ribbon

Contrasting ribbon with excellent finish

The felt is pliable with ease and it has a peachy touch

Very high end French product directly from the early fifties

Part of my lucky find in 2013.

Speaking of the daughter who thought I looked like a nerd at a train station. Here she is rocking a size 8 fedora that isn't anything close to a size 8. I think she looks great but she's not convinced.

You'll probably notice that I'm limited in hats to, you know, one hat. But it's a sunny and chilly day in MI. I was inspired by Serge's scarf yesterday, so I wore one today. Forgive the selfie amateur hour. I've only taken about 5 in my life.

Very nice Daniele great lines on this one. I always like a good sharks gill. BTW, that Borsalino in violet yesterday was one of my favorites.

Thanks Mike. They are two different level of European hats.
Yesterday Borsalino has a very "common" shape and the finish are medium. The top is the violet color of the felt, by the way it is a little stiff for a hat made in Alessandria, but, as you know, in the million hats produced, Borsalino, had a very different quality.
Flechet de Luxe is an high end hat made in France. The felt is fantastic in pliability and color. Finish is superb and this is one of the best Flechet in my collection. In France produced hats there was less variety in quality. I have a great collection of French hats and it is more remarkable.
