G. A. Dunn & Co. "Austrian" Velour made by TONAK probably late 1940s early 1950s and a gift from Daniele. Really fantastic light weight Velour in a brilliant light absorbing brown.

G. A. Dunn & Co. partnership went back to at least the 1930s when Tonak was J. Hückel´s Söhne (JHS). Here is Tonak or JHS Dunn & Co. liner dye I found back in the Summer of 2015.

Here is a fantastic G. A. Dunn & Co. "Austrian" Zephyr Seal Velour made by TONAK that Josh found a while ago.

Here is a 1930s G. A. Dunn & Co. Austrian Velour made by J. Hückel´s Söhne (was nationalized as Tonak after WWII) that Justin found a while ago.

Ten degrees here, so balmy compared to Eric. I'm wearing my Pilgrim, but it ain't enough hat.

Guess which I prefer.

Many fine hats showing up here today.

Better with coat, but the cardigan is lovely. You sure know how to pose with style. Are all these clothes you've had for years or all newly bought I wonder?

Out and about early, my last full day in a sling (although I'll probably get myself in another one somehow...)

A very merry Thursday to all!
Great hat, love the ads and your superimposed composition!

I have great compassion for your position. Spent a number of years caring for my elderly mother. It was hard and draining. Take care of yourself cuz unless you do you will not be of much use as a caregiver to anyone.
Thank you, I appreciate it. As you know it's easier said than done, but I do try!

It is our pleasure and privilege, ma'am.

Thank you! :)

Thanks Kuki. Definitely better with the coat. I do like that cardigan very much though. Very nearly all of my clothes are new to me in the last year or so. Basically since I lost a lot of weight. About a year before I started my diet I had given up on ever fitting into any of my old small clothes so I got rid of them all. Ha ha. I could say bad timing on my part, but acquiring the new wardrobe has been fun. And I use the word new loosely as virtually all of it is from the thrift store.

Your hat today is really nice. I also wanted to mention that I can empathize with your situation with your Mother. After my Grandmother died I moved back to my home area and took care of my Grandfather for a couple of years. It can be a task.

Had to wait til the end of the day to post this, busy day. In solidarity with the stellar Derby sported by Matt this morning, I switched to my 1930s Stetson Derby. I have named it the "Kerr Derby" after William Jasper Kerr, President of Oregon State in the early 20th century. We have some great images of derby wearing OAC Faculty. Topcoat is from the wife this Christmas, just in time for 20 degrees for the next few days.

Cold today, dropping to 18F tonight. Cold for this area anyway.

MMBarnes and BlueAZNmonkey keep beating the Homburg drum so I relented and went with my only Homburg, a Cavanagh in 7-3/8 LO that fits me perfectly... which is rare for an off-the-shelf hat and my egghead. Thanks again to NewJack for giving me the opportunity to snag this beautiful lid.
