Nice one. Was always curious abt that style Biltmore. Before I got my first Camp Draft and liking Canadian Biltmores I was trying to find one like it. Its a hard to find Biltmore. Was that open crown from the factory and model #BLF 2001?

Yes it was open crown from the factory. One hat store (I seem to recall it was called Hat's Plus) had a bunch of these after the factory closed and was selling them for about $100 each.

The quality is great for the price, at least as good, or maybe a little better) than the one Campdraft I have. I don't have any other modern retail hats to compare it with.

Thanks. That's the hat. I believe I wrote the letters wrong. It was Hats Plus. I bought 3 NOS Canadian Biltmores from them abt 2 or 3 years ago. They told me at the time that they purchased quite a few.

It usually is, but it seems everyone in the northern hemisphere is experiencing colder-than-normal temperatures this winter. If you want warm, you have to drive farther south...like, say, to Ecuador.

Oh, happy day...

Off to work under an old excellent quality ovalized sixteenths Knox Fifth Avenue derby. (It's much more comfortable than the hexagonalized thirteenths one.)

As I was engaged in my narcissistic hat problem ritual, a great blue heron landed on a fallen tree in the creek behind my house. So here is a picture of that, too. It's not wearing a hat, though.
