Extremely lightweight thin felt on this one and definitely not ideal for a cold windy day like today but it was calling my name

My new Fed IV, just got it this morning!
This is my third Akubra, but only the second that I currently own. I sold the first, a Bogart, to make this purchase.
So now I have this Fed IV and a Campdraft that I bought a couple of months ago.
I have to say, this Federation is WAAAAY softer than the Campdraft (both Imperial felt). It takes a shape much more easily and the feel of it is more like a vintage. I love the color (BGG) and style of the Campdraft, but this is a nicer lid.
Yes, I know I still have some work to do shaping this thing, lol! Just could now wait to show it off! ;)

Today is November 22. One of those days that will live in infamy for those of us of a certain age, that recall exactly where they were when they heard the news back in 1963. He wore a CAVANAGH, despite the rumors of hatless John Kennedy. This is from the approximate era.

Side note to anyone who lacks the confidence to wear brown with navy... He did!!
