What Hat Are You Wearing Today 1?

Sun and wind today clean the sky
I'm preparing a lecture about reportage photography for thin evening, so not so much time for hats
I take a walk to buy a "natural" after shave on the other side of the historical town to enjoy the fantastic afternoon

This Carlton (French made) never have the chace to have some air

It is a "Diplomatique" made probably sixties or more years ago and never used

There is a fantastic light to put in evidence the homburg

I like very much the French homburgs because they are massive

This has a very soft and peachy felt

I have one pair, steel-toed western boots, about 35 years old. Like my oversized dome, my footsies measure a respectable 13, EEE. Although a bit easier to accommodate these days, it's always been frustrating buying any footwear. You know the old saying, "Big feet.... big shoes!"

Moving a little slowly this morning, like many of you I bet, allowing the intensity of an incredible baseball game to slowly dissipate. A little yoga helped. Today's choice from the hat room (which also has my yoga mat), a Stetson Select Quality upbrim soft hat, likely from the late 1920s.

Yes Sir. My palms are sweating.

Huckleberry Hound?

No, more like this bloodhound in Lady and the Tramp. His character would stand in the background and lull you into thinking he was asleep... but when the time came for action he would bring on the muscle as needed, usually a one punch knockout. Of course, I could be creating a hybrid character in my fevered brain...

I pinged him a couple of months ago, after he first disappeared. Said he was doing OK, but busy. Hope he comes back soon. I enjoyed his posts.

Thanks!... the felt color is pretty well captured in the photos, a brown with an olive cast. I usually connect this tone with tobacco, but I'm not sure that is the best analogy.
