For a walk in the woods I was wearing the American Hat Co. 3X, my wife was wearing her beater Resistol and my youngest daughter grabbed her Great-Grandfather's old vinyl bucket hat to have a bit of safety orange as it is still turkey season.

Find any mushrooms in them thar woods? I didn't have much luck yesterday. No hen at least. A few oysters and other miscellany.

He messaged me a couple of weeks ago to confirm I still wanted whiskey and said I was still about a month out. I recon here in the next couple of weeks I'll have to make up my mind on what ribbon I want.

Nothing edible. The button mushrooms I found last weekend (and forgot to get on the return leg of the walk) had turned to mush. We were hoping for coral mushrooms to pop out, but none so far. Still -- a beautiful day to be out.

Chilly indeed! 47 Fahrenheits when I left this AM. Last week, while on PTO, I took some time to rotate my hats. Boxed up all the straws and pulled out a few more that are of more mass and suited for cooler weather. Haven't had this one on my head all summer - Stetson 150th Anniversary Racine.

That's a fine Stetson you have there sir, very fine indeed, and a happy Monday to yourself. Perhaps it's the weather, or maybe it's the hat, but there's a fine Stetson on this cold, but sunny, October Monday on my head too. We are an ocean apart but.................
