Today, old beige cotton-fishing hat, because great sun-protection and very light on 42 km on bicycle!

Cool enough this morning for a felt hat and jacket. May have to lose them before I take my car to the shop this afternoon as I will have to wander around on foot for a few hours in the heat of the day. Knox Flying Cloud stingy.

Wow. Buttered rolls, sausage gravy and biscuits, bacon & eggs, cheese grits, Esther having lunch. Makin' this boy awful hungry (begins eying his lunch early).

Often know as a Hard Roll or even Kaiser Roll... has hard thin crust( some poppy seeds allowed) very soft ever so slight salty dough. Butter is slapped on from a tub behind the deli counter...wrapped in white paper, coffee regular... whole task takes about 11 seconds... You're out the door...!!!


PS... Esther Yes that's it but for us no sesame seed and waaaaay too many poppy...;~)

Dobbs "Bishop." As much as I dont care for shantung, I got caught in a heavy rain last Saturday night. Thoroughly soaked and saturated. Just shook that hat off without drying put it back on and it ended up perfect. No wavy/wonky brim. Nothing.

Sounds fascinating. Is any of your Dads work or collaborations on YouTube?

You can find snippets on his website. It's all in Flemish...
His big works are filed away though.
He has done some amazing things in that sound art world, small as it is.
Not that I know much about it. I only grew up with weird recordings playing, loud bangs and many other struggling artists from all around Europe living with us.
I remember speaking English to some people around the age of 10. ( we sort of had too )
He build a giant metronome at one point, and it was in bits and pieces in our living room.
He once took apart my speaking barbie doll to use the speaking thing and transformed it into something else.

Funny fellow, but I love him none the less. Guess I inherited some of that craziness as well.

Was able to acess some of his work but couldnt get a good audio cuz of the cell phone and parrots screaming. Avant-garde to say the least but certainly intriguing.
