Not quite up to A'n'A's standards, but a highlights of the week recap. When you get two VS hats in a week's time, what else do you wear?
Thanks, HJ. I appreciate that. I'm flattered. The Woomera looks really nice. There's just too many options. Trying to figure out which crease to choose from is going to be the hardest part. You could also pull up some images from your favorite old Western movies and get a few ideas. Thanks guys! When I ordered it I had been wanting a symmetrically round hat with a 4" brim & a 6"+ crown to try my hand at a deep telescoping horseshoe crease. I'm thinking the crease will eat up a lot of real estate so that's where I settled on the Woomera with a 6.7" crown.
If that fails my satisfaction I will probably go with a deep crease like originated with Cavalry hats. I already have several hats with creases that require tall crowns like the Tom Mix & Montana Peak creases.
Even the crease TJ uses on some of his conversions would work great on a Woomera. I'd like to see what he could do with one.

Nice boots!Back to my latest Resistol 25. This hat is rapidly becoming a favorite. It just seems to rain every time I put it on.

Nice boots!
I believe that the crown style is called Optimo, whether or not it was invented by Optimo Hatters I couldn't tell you. For optimum Optimo-ing opportunities, one could wear the hat and smoke an Optimo cigar...but since I quit tobacco years ago I'll opt out of that option.Wow, what a fabulous Panama, had you not described it I would have guessed that it was an Optimo, just like mine.

Very nice g!
The more I look at you wearing that hat, I like it! I think some times the brim being "flat" in the front and some cup in the back is what we do here as far as brim shape...but that hat you have on with the slight cup, brim up all the way around looks really nice. The next hat I obtain for Daniel, I think I will let the brim be just like this to see how well he looks wearing it. The hat you have there, is super nice. Hard to really tell the exact color as the picture seems to have green, grey and a hint of brown all mixed together. What else would I be wearing today?
New VS in granite beaver.
