Thanks, guys. I wore my '50s 3X today, brim down and diamond-creased. It's the hat I'm wearing in the avatar photo. It still has the original $15 price tag. I find the felt quality to be about the same as the 25. There may be a difference in fur content, but it doesn't feel or appear to be that much different. I was wondering today if the difference between the two was just a marketing ploy by Stetson. Call one hat a 3X, sell it for $15, call the same hat with a different liner and sweatband branding a 25 and sell it for $25.

Cool evening, 65'F at this point. I have been checking the early evening sky for planets. My binoculars and Star ap (on my phone) at the ready for watching the planets (Mars and Saturn move closer and are visible), constellations (Sagatarius, Scorpius and Antaries in particular) and the Milky Way this early evening.

For earth viewers, I am wearing my Cordova Cap in Wool/silk, Pendleton Hawaiian inspired shirt and a cotton sweater.

That Wanderer clone looks great, Eric. And yes, now that I have a Gannon, they appear to be workhorse hats. Very sturdily constructed. Your silvermist is a good lookin' hat.

A quick stop by my office to pick something up before driving down to the Queen City to see Mr. Gus Miller. Woohoo! It's new hat day, as I'm on my way to pick up my custom Gus Miller hat at Batsakes. This old Playboy will keep my head company.

When I was a kid, and we would get new shoes, I always wanted to wear my new acquisitions right then and there, and would put my old shoes in the new box. I have a feeling I'll be wearing my Gus Miller home this afternoon, and this puppy will ride along in the Batsakes box.
