Harv, how are you liking that RM? Mine's a little stiffer than my Camp Drafts but I dig it just the same. Wore it yesterday to help my parents with some yard work

Nice hats today, everyone!

Borsalino in the elusive Bismuto color (elusive because I couldn't say exactly what color it is, kind of grey with brown and green and who knows what else)
Just looks grey in the overcast lighting
That hat in that color.... that's what i want! Gorgeous Borsalino Tommy

I lasted about a day and a half! That Timothy guy on Ebay had a nice looking Portis for sale at 75% off...... the price was finally reasonable and irresistible. I have no will power. Sign me up for that twelve step program Matt..... oh wait, after I find an OR.
Timothie had a Vanzina that I wanted, but even at 75% off I still couldn't bear the thought of giving my money to that clown.

Mark, that's a big 'un!
Great ribbon/bow, Esther,

Friday and I picked a hat with a little purple tinge to it - the brim binding is a nice plum color on this Dalton Waverly. And it is going to rain...

Sorry about the off-center bash shot, but I'm feeling a bit off-center myself this morning! Happy Friday!
So nice. Those 3 different colors (hat body, ribbon, brim binding) are combining perfectly.

Good morning, all.

Going for a formal Friday under a Knox (go figure...) Superfine homburg.

I hope that you each have a superfine day.
I can't believe you are wearing a Hommie with a Hawaiian type shirt. The style combination is total polar opposites. What's most incredible is that you pull it off completely! I'm stunned that you can do that. :)

Note: I've taken a lot of pictures of my clothing. 99.9% of photos I take by myself I'm not smiling. When my wife or kids are in a photo with me I smile 99% of the time. It's not a conscious thing but a mildly interesting observation.

Same here, and probably one of the best observations I've seen on this forum.

Nice bash. How is dynafelt compared with wool?

I'll echo Bond here in saying that it's a different type of animal than any other felt. The original sweat stated something along the lines of "The water resistant fur felt", so it has some fur content, but I have no idea how much. The felt is thick, dense and stiff in this one. Not as stiff as a Stratton, but still rigid. The front droop of the brim doesn't want to curve down gracefully like a softer felt. The profile shot shows that it just wants to bend in one spot. Still, it's proven to be a great camping and yard work hat, at least until the sweltering summer months hit. And I doubt rain will soak through this one very easily. It took LOTS of water and steam to do the telescope crease, and the inside was barely feeling damp.

I'll definitely grab another Dynafelt over a wool any day of the week, especially at the price this one was sold to me. If I could only find one in sage/bluegrass green.
