Top of the morning to all!

First of all thank you for the likes on my hat yesterday.

I'm in such a good mood, the sun is out, birds are chirping and lots of hats to make.

At times like this I count my lucky stars. Life is good my friends!

...walks away singing... :D

Hope you all have a great day too!
I pulled out my all time favourite hat.

Who says that there was anything sneaky about it?
Now then, mm, that's just showing off.
Yesterday I was laid up with a touch of food poisoning, it gave me what we Brits refer to as: the squits. If you don't know, look it up, too much information. Thankfully I'm fine now, out enjoying the sunshine, as well as catching up on nine pages of fine hats. When I wear this shirt, along with a pair of blue/grey pants, I usually team it with a a blue and white pin stripe pork pie hat. But Esther said that I need to wear this hat often to reduce the stiffness of the sweatband. Better do what the lady says then.

Esther, is that hat band deliberately offset? How is it attached?

How do you mean? The gold line?

I sew mine in by hand.
I've always been told that one does not want visible stitch lines on the outside of the hat. At least that's how it's done in women's millinery. But enjoy doing it so why not...

I was going to buy one BUT it looks a lot like the cattleman and the low crown sits on top if my head, so I got a black Cobber Pedy, that just arrived, instead.

How does the Tablelands perform?

Sent from my LG-D855 using Tapatalk

I think the Tablelands has a smaller crown, the height is the same i think. The Cattleman looks more a cowboy style. i like both styles.

Good Tuesday, all. Yesterday all day rain, today all day sunshine. I'm sequestered in the office with the car in the shop.
My SBCD held up nicely in the downpour yesterday, safetyfast. Akubra - takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin' (with apologies to John Cameron Swayze).
Esther your hats are to die for, whether on your head or GHT's.
Mark, nice OR - and tie (of course).Mallory's The Dallas, today...

I don't believe the Borso was ever a Homburg - it is a cool fedora brim treatment.

Here's some detail, top side on left, underside of brim on the right:

It's a well travelled hat;

Made in Italy
Sold in US
Off to Germany to Lounger Nik (rabbit)
Back to US to me.

Beautiful hat. I like those funky brim treatments.

Joao – A stingy brim today?

Esther – Beautiful hat. Great ribbon treatment.

Strapped – Very nice. Looks good on that noggin.

Safety – The perfect picture of a great hat.

Fruno – Awesome brown on that hat. Looks good on you.

Hato – You are the king with a crown.

I’m wearing my 60’s Akubra “Debonair” pocketweight today.

Thanks, Bruno - the Debonair is suave, and the tie is off the charts!

My early morning office light doesn't do The Dallas justice - it's actually a very dark charcoal. I can thank Moon for this one - if it was brown, he'd have scored it, but I benefit because black hats are his Kryptonite.

Wide Ribbon Campdraft

I love the look of that CD with that ribbon - a whole different hat!
