Gentlemen/Lady; I want to say thanks for your sharing of late. The hat/cap parade has been spectacular. I have been busy of late and yet am always entertained and excited to see ALL of the posts. Cheers to all. Welcome to new comers and welcome back to the "oldsters."

Anthony; Just want to shout out - Great modern hat sir!

Best, Eric -

Many many fine hats and photos... thanks for sharing.
Michael, I hope the rain is filling up some reservoirs. I know your 100 will be no worse for the shower.
Anthony, tell us more about the inside of that modern Borsalino. Is it making headlines?

For me, I love Paris in the springtime. Buffalo too.

Thank you sir
It is probably my finest modern hat...I wasn't expecting a whole lot after reviews I have read about modern Borsalinos but after handling many yesterday and now owning this one I cannot say I completely agree with those reviews.
This hat has many vintage qualities.
it is extremely light and soft.
I love it

Not sure what I can tell you about the inside... these pics tell the story I guess.
The hat is very comfortable.

Alan, no worries from me about the 100 in the rain. It's beaver fur and I heard somewhere they preferred wet places. After a dry February, which had some concerned that another truncated rainy season was upon us, the storms are back and lined up across the Pacific.

Lovely gray Parisien.

Thanks for those pictures. Seems to be the same sweatband attachment scheme that was on a Como I once owned. Mine made nasty headlines. I'm glad yours is comfortable!

Good news. I purchased mine through the internet. The irritation from the band was annoying. I tried to lessen it but it left a mark like falling asleep on a corduroy pillow. The felt was nicely reminiscent of vintage quality though. I kept it for quite a while.

Gorgeous hats cheered me on weekends.

Monday with rain and damp weather. Marked variability in this first week of March

Today I wear a French Homburg never presented on FL

Carlton light gray
The shape is very classic with a very "bulbous" crown

I did not make the piches to see the shape

The ribbon is in contrast with the bound of brim

The finishes are excellent. It has arrived here new from the late 40, early 50'
I like that word "bulbous" especially on that crown!

A doctor's appointment today, I have a full medical every year: Weight (I lost ten pounds,) blood pressure, sugar level, eye sight, a range of questions and tests about aging associated problems and on, and on. My doctor is very much old school, so no Aloha shirt today, definitely a collar and tie, I even left the spectator shoes off, though I did wear a pair of black brogues. My doctor wears a trilby, but when the sun shines he will wear a classic Panama, in the summer I've seen him in a Straw Boater, but never in the consulting room. He's a class act, my doctor. There were some forty or so people in the waiting room and of the men, only your's truly wore a tie. Can't have doctor upstaging me. Not knowing what hat he came to work in and having only one trilby, which needs reshaping, I thought that it's two to one that doctor's wearing a straw, so I wore the Biltmore straw. Doctor's felt Trilby was on his hatstand. I didn't have the impudence to ask him to pose.
