Unlined, it's felt is a mixture of wool and fur

Buon Mercoledì! Thanks for the Albertini - Linea Panizza success ;)
Beautiful scenery, Daniele! And the snowcapped mountains in the background aren't bad either.[emoji6]

Excellent, David. That's a beaut!
Mark, the Hommie looks great. I'll have to break one out soon.
Esther - I love that one! And perfect for WAR Wednesday.

Inspired by Lotsahats post from last week, I'm trying to rock the four corner pinch in my 150th Anniversary Stetsonian. Unfortunately, the light in my office seems to be making it difficult to see the bash well.

Gentlemen,
I'm this again because the last posting did not show the pictures. If they do not turn up this time, I would be most grateful if someone might tell me what I'm doing wrong. There used to be a page on this site that told you how to post images, but I cannot find it!

I thought I would throw the proverbial “hat in the ring” as it were, and show you folks some of the hats I happen to have in my personal inventory.

The first is my Coke (AKA Bowler or more commonly Derby the US side of the pond) from Lock & Co. in London England. This venerable firm is the world’s oldest hat shop, having been around since 1676. I have been to their wonderful store in St. James where they actually use an antique device called a conformator that takes the outline of your skull so that this style of hat can then be properly steamed and blocked so that it will fit properly, and comfortable.

While this isn’t a hat, it’s a find worth its weight in gold. It’s a Kent Brushes 1940’s hat brush! This firm has been in business since 1777, but having checked their website, they sadly no longer make hat brushes. This brush is invaluable in helping keep my Coke looking ship shape and Bristol fashion.

This is my Lock & Co. Straw Boater that is wonderfully comfortable on those balmy steamy summer days. Seersucker is suggested, but optional.

One could say having a Donegal Deerstalker in one’s inventory is elementary.

Lastly this 1970’s Donegal Trilby is also a fun one to own. In my book, it’s hard to go wrong with most anything tweed.
