Daniele – Stupendo. Che bel colore. Me piacciano le dimenzioni di quel cappello.

Panadora – Looking warm!

Esther – What a great color combination.

Strapped – How many Christmas ties do you own?

MM – Lovin’ the Madison Avenues today.

Java – Looking good.

RJR – If that hat could talk…

Bolero – Gorgeous hat. Is it a Vita-Felt?

Knotten – Sharp!

Cal – What I said yesterday, today, too. Wow.

Bob – Like the colors and that ribbon. Nice.

Alan – Beautiful hat. I want to touch that felt.

Today, a Borsalino as well. In that color for which I do not have a name. Spruce?

Great hats again, Everyone.
With a special shout out to Daniele for that stunning Meer, a knew maker on me and 40cal for his unique Japanese Stetson.

All right, all right!!! You enablers. Yes, I'm talking about You G, Bob and Moon. The call of the Camp Draft was too much for me, especially the Blue grass.

Moon you are not wrong, just an amazing collection and so inspiring. Dropped my wife off at the hairdressers today, then went and damaged the bank balance with some Christmas shopping. Esther must have shamed me, what with having all her's done and dusted. We are a divided nation at the moment, the north of the country having had 13 inches of rain in just 24 hours, whilst in the south the weather has been relatively calm and, for the time of year, warm. Certainly warm enough to wear an open neck shirt and shades.

Do you think I could ask all of you well informed hat wearers to indulge me for a minute or so? I need your opinion, but not about hats.
Click onto this thread,
scroll down to the bottom and see my post, then add your comment, if you would be so kind. Many thanks.

Thanks! "Blue Spruce...?" Whatever you call it, it's a very nice color.

A note about the Vita-Felts because someone asked in an earlier post...
Vita-Felt Process came out in 1940 by Stetson to better compete with Borsalino, at least that is one Historical rumor...
Felt is a Textile produced by Matting, Condensing and Processing Fibres together, Wool, Animal, Acrylic were all used but not together.
Stetson's Vita-Felt Process possessed the outstanding features of Ultra Light Felt, being Rollable/Crushable and Waterproof, it was made from 100% Virgin Wool.
Hope this clarifys some of the mystique of Vita-Felt........

***In length discussion from 2006 here on Fedora Lounge see post 97 and 130 and others...http://www.thefedoralounge.com/threads/vita-felt.31603/page-5...
I believe it to still be an ongoing mystery re Vita-Felt...***
