g.durand – very nice Hanover Square. They are such classically nice looking hats. And you wear it well.

Strapped – Those 20s will keep the snow off and still look good. Mine has seen a lot of snow lately and she’s in great shape.

NYC – The cap was made for you. So which color is more accurate – the lighter or darker?

My no-name today. I bought just the body and ribbon (it had no production tags) and put in a liner and sweat. It definitely has some beaver content. All I know is that it keeps my head plenty warm.

Thanks Miami - as for accuracy, I still can't tell! I'm at work now, and in this lighting it looks more like my indoor picture. The only solution is to wear it more and take more pictures!!

Classy hat/tie combination Miamibruno.

Looks good Greg! I like the subtle pattern of the fabric.

S-4-C I hope the Stetson keeps things all good. We're under a snow watch here as well. I hope things don't go down like they did last year. Stay safe.

Great hat and photo G.D. Reminds me of some of the shots Alan posts, looking out the window. I hope all is well with him, his absence is conspicuous.

Cool panama Doomstein. Enjoy the weather.

Handsome choice of caps, SBG.

Great hat and shot, Joao!

Lots of killer hats from yesterday!!

Nice lunch today, so I grabbed my super fino Panamaa teardrop, as the old Mexican Gentlemen said " a good hat and a nice pair of shoes will dress you up even if you are almost naked". uploadfromtaptalk1424877876506.jpg uploadfromtaptalk1424877912313.jpg

I love panamas when the straw is kind of bran coloured...more that the white ones...

This is one of my oldest hats, as in "I've had it the longest." A Stetson Temple, ca. 1995, in a color called "Mist Gray":

Gray_Temple_Interior.jpg Gray_Temple_HeadOn.jpg

Gray_Temple_Profile.jpg Gray_Temple_FromAbove.jpg

It's a very light pale gray. 2 5/8" brim front and back, a little less on the sides, the dimensional brim. The Temple was my go-to hat during my first hat-wearing period in the mid-'90s. I still have the nougat-colored one as well as this gray, but the mink and the cream-colored one with the brown ribbon are long gone. It fits well, and is a little stiffer than my other hats. It's stood up to snow and rain pretty well. Plus it looks great with a dark topcoat or trenchcoat.

I have the same one and I love it... A real nice colour that goes well with almost any outfit.
A couple of day ago I was going to buy the cream one, but instead went for a Campdraft in Tawny..lets wait 3 months and see how it worked out.

Stetson still offers the cream one?

From everything I've heard here, the Akubra is probably a much better hat all around. But a Temple is a good lid.

Joao-that Fuzzy resistol is a rare treat
Case-the Carmack Whiskey may be my favorite hat of yours
Eric-You've been wearing some great caps lately
g.durand-that Dobbs is another winner. Like seeing you in the wide ribbons
S4C-Your Stetson 20 inspired me to wear mine today, very nice
Greg- the 8 dart looks great and very cool fabric on that one
Miami-Blown away by that no name! Always looking sharp. You're another one I'm jealous of every hat
Hatophile-ditto, jealous of every hat and how good you look in them
Chamuco-I really like the "bran" color. I'm with you I have mostly white straw hats but a little color is nice
Benz-the Temple looks pretty darn good to me and has held up well
rclark-looking good in the Campdraft. Perfect bad weather hat

My apologies if i missed someone.

Benz, I agree about the Akubras. I've got a few recent retail Stetsons, and as much as I wanted to like them (esp. the open-crown editions), I was really underwhelmed.

It has, though it's spent a lot of its life in a box. Especially since I came to the FL, bought my first Akubra Fed and then my first vintage hats from eBay. But I don't want to part with it or the nougat model. I'll bring that one this week or next and post some pics.

Yes they do, they call it Tawny, and yes Akubras are real nice, nicer than Stetsons nowadays...

Will post the pics of my fawn Akubra CD !

But I love this Temple, the color is beautiful.
