Wow, so much to catch up on! I was busy this weekend with projects at home, so I didn't have much time. Here I'm on a night-time hike through Whitestone, Queens in cold-weather gear, plus an insulated modern ivy cap from Wigens. Whitestone Bridge in the background.
hRm--you've got that "it's-February-and-how-much-longer-is-this-going-to-last" look!
TJones--that is one of your best, sir! I would see if I could ease the fit it a little bit and keep it.
Eric--both caps are superb!
Chamuco--ventilation is always a good thing when it's warm. Looks like a beautiful day there.
St. Ignatz--love the Strat and leather jacket combo.
gear-guy--nice shot of you and the little ones.
Greg--looks like you're freezing there. I do not miss the east coast climate (well, a little bit, but not enough to spend more than just a few days visiting).
Harv--great combo, too. Nothing like a thin-ribbon Resistol.
In between rain showers today, it seems like I never woke up. The wife was trying to get me to smile.....wearing the Campdraft.
Monday morning: sun and cold.
I spent the yesterday afternoon to pull out of the packaging some hats that I wanted to get some air.
This is a Carlton , old French brand no longer active.
One of my favorites for the accurate finishing hats and fine materials.
The homburg is new and unworn built in light grey fur felt of medium thickness, very malleable .
Has black ribbon and edging of brim in gray. The proportions are classic.
He held out slightly longer brim than normal and the crown is full and round.
It's part of my purchases in France.
Good week and congratulations for the beautiful hats that lit the weekend .
