Thanks for the comments. Did not know about the saw player in the group. I am still in the Glen Miller era! This hat is a purple brown the camera did not capture. I saw 2 of these on TCM the other day on 2 different movies. I paid $8 for this hat at an antique mall be for Black Sheep put a new sweat band in it!

DJH-Mr. Main Street-WOW! Great color combo and unique ribbon. There should be more of these out there
Greg-Akubra's are the best choice for bad weather
hRme-That Lee is a classic in any decade! Were they still making hats like this in '71? Or was it vintage then?
job-That leather newsboy looks like the perfect choice for a cool fall day
Hatophile-That Royal Stetson is fantastic! Wish I had one just like it
JAVIER-That Borso is pristine! have you ever rolled it?
SBG-I'm envious of every hat you show! Love the crown shape on that Strat
alan-That Boss is "the Boss" of all hats! The bullet (or moth) hole just gives it western street cred
Heye-That Dobb's is another classic! I love the finish and guild edge on the old Dobb's hats. And that ostrich sweatband is the coolest

David, sweet trimming on that baby.
Charlie, great Lee, the bottom pic is awesome!
Perry, nice brownie!
Javier, cool rollable.
Job, nice cap. Such a good look for you.
Alan, wow! Very very cool lid.
Greg, the wider brims do look good on you, so do the caps and porkpies!
Bert, great hat, sweet saw. My old oboe teacher, recently passed away, also played a mean musical saw.
Tommyk, nice one!
Eric, super. Looks like you're enjoying this abnormally long fall.

Exploring the fall palette myself. Belamey homburg and Dobbs flat cap.

Never checked David Browns spot as he's over priced for my budget (and when I'm ready, I'm thinking of supporting the FL vendors/ haters) however I regret not buying a a David Brown westernish hat, it was black and beaver felt, when I went the next day to the second hand store it was gone. I happen to dither, and by then time I convinced myself I could convert it, it was sold :( the quality looked good too), oh well! For a midsize city supprisingly there is a lot happening now, you would
not recognize it.
I think I'm having a garbage plate tonight in your honor ;)

Love the picks today, that first one had a little Amish / Mormon look to it

Awesome! Nick Tahou's, gitsi' s, or other? Those are the two I can remember. I'm sure much has changed since I was there. While in school I used to have a weekly gig at java's (formerly java Joe's) with my band. I heard they remodeled the Eastman theater. Ever get in there?

Where's my Hat... ? in Upstate NY!
Alan: Thank You for the compliment on the Borso, the felt and brim in nice and light.
That "Stetson Boss" would look good with a Native American silver "emblem piece... not sure of the correct term" it would hide the blemish, cause that hat looks to good to not use frequently :) and if I recall you are into Native jewelry, although I could be mistaken.
Similar to what my favorite musician Carlos Santana (a fellow fedora and hat lover) sports on occasion.
a quick Google image search will have more examples of his personal collection

HatsRme:TY, the color is unique only one I own that's that bluish gray; I'm glad to have some time to post again.. however think site makes we want more and more hats, its hat porn.

tommyK: Thanks, I've never rolled it myself however I do have the original hat "coffin" traveling case, and it's previous owner did. Your Champ looks mighty pristine, looks good on you.

B-Man: That homburg looks superb, your the reason I decided to challenge my thinking years back beyond stingy fedoras; and hard to find anyone who wears a rolled brim better than you, but we'll try ;) . I like the original Nick Tahou's #1 but pretty much all the Hots places have there own version nowadays loads of fries, mac salad, 2 cheeseburger patties, deiced onion, Rochester style hot meat sauce and squirt your fav. condiment... oh a piece of bread...... So good but you need the tums.
Javas has like 6 locations now, I'm guessing your referring to the on Gibbs st, now coined Jazz st do to our international Jazz festival, one of my employees has a part time job there. What was your bands name and musical style? Oh, Eastman theater is pretty sweet. I'll stop now before the gents get bored of reading about lil ol Rochester in Upstate NY.
