I visited your site to take a look at the Stetson "Original 47" foldable straw hat that Tommy K is wearing. For me, a few more pictures of that hat from different angles, front, back etc..., would be more helpful. Also, the crown height added in the description would be helpful too. I'm interested in this one. It looks nice from what I can see.

Crown dimensions; 4 1/2 front pinch, 5 3/8 highest point at side, 4 1/4 back.
Brim is around 2 5/8

The shantung is a little on the slightly floppy side, not stiff like a panama. I believe there may be a panama version of this hat coming if that's your preference

Great stingy and pic Mike. Always good to see you.
Alan the Stetson is exquisite, as is expected from your collection, but the cap is really sharp. Also a classic look.

Great hats today everyone. It reached 93 degrees on our last day in Houston. I brought the right hat. At lunch today a man asked me where I got it. This began a long conversation that lead to my recommending he search for vintage hats and to contact Mr. Fawcett for the best fitting hat possible.

Thanks tommyK, I like the dimensions on that one. I think for its purpose I can understand the slight floppiness it may have. It's a nice looking hat. I'd definitely be interested in the Panama version.

Too many great hats yesterday to comment on all of them. Definitely enjoyed the Regency Squatter on Richard. And Crazy Dave - like the Fed style you have there.

I'm a bit jealous of you gentlemen wearing straws - it's still way too cool in Cleveland for that. But soon, I hope.

Well THERE you ARE, MiamiB! MIA, but back in complete style (although your tie is rather quiet today...)

Mikespens, you are right on the money, and I'm glad! Your Mom looks FABULOUS!!

Super profile shot today, Harv. What a great CD, sir!

JBucklin the hat totally tops off that terrific photo!

The "tyranny of the moment" has me rushed most mornings these days. I want to comment on everybody!!!

Today's hat began as a BSHW "Hooper," but switched to granite felt, black ribbon, and a bound edge. Does it look western?

Today my BSHW Hooper

Great hats today guys. It's unusually cool here in Dallas today, so I will be wearing my Canadian Biltmore. The pic of me playing guitar with the Fed was taken 1 1/2 weeks ago, but I couldn't find a thread called "what were you wearing 1 1/2 weeks ago". :-/

Thanks Charlie, Richard & DJH,

I like your cap from yesterday Alan. Very collegiate.

Nice tablelands DJH. That's a model that doesn't pop up here too often. Beautiful Tumwater too.

All are looking darned nice lately!
Nice beret, Sam.

It has been too windy most days (35+mph winds), but I managed to keep my Borsalino Trionfo on head a few times over the weekend.

Joao - are you sure it's you under that beauty?
Yes I am ;)

Your Regency looks nice (beside the almost non-existing brim ;))

Joao - yeah, that will keep you out of the sun.
Yes it does :D

My biggest brim this evening - Akubra Tablelands
Looking good :)

Another wide brim for today, this 4x beaver Stetson Big Country beast

To be sure it's me under this 5" brim, another shot of my ugly face with a forced smile.

Funny I keep bumping into doors with this one... 1" does makes a difference.

MiamiB, great looking Marathon. Lovely color.

Charlie, I really like that one. Not Western at all, buddy.

Jbucklin, i like the pinch on that Biltmore.

Sam, YOU make that beret, my friend. Nice!

Jeff, that Borso looks nice. Very nice.

Joao, that 5" brim is fantastic! Any wider and you will need arm extensions. :p
