Great hat and gi-tar combo Joao. I'm loving those guitar pics.
Thanks.

Jao, I know nothing about guitars but I like the way your Les Paul looks.
Well I do know how they work and how they are made. Playing is another 100.Thanks.

I don't see the $25k-$30k for those vintage guitars either. It makes sense why there's very little difference between the modern day Telecasters, Strats, and Les Pauls and the ones from the '50s. Those models are still in high demand to this day so the process of manufacturing them has remained pretty much intact, and in some instances the technology of manufacturing them have improved....Hats are another story. There's no real demand today for Newsboys or Fedoras....that reminds me, I need to get a new switch for my Telecaster!
About guitars I think the same.

Joao:Just a bit of practice when you find the time and you'll have it licked!
It looks easy when been told, not when you try and try. Muscle memory is faulty. :\

Penman today
Love that color. Don't know if I "could" wear it...

Rickys Schlock Shop, Geary st between 26 & 27th ave
we saw some good stuff for Joao some super wide glides
Looks like you two had a blast.
Thank you for remembering me and my wide brims ;)

I spent Friday at my folks place, where my waist band struggled to cope with the amount of food my mother foisted upon us.
I have the same problem for today and tomorrow...

Yesterday this Stagecoach. Nice color, nice fit, nice hat.
Been looking to wear this one.

For today I'm still undecided.

Richard - another hat maker I'm not familiar with. Nice traditional lines. I too have to watch what I eat - I've been exercising like crazy for the past six weeks. No weight loss to speak of, but my clothes fit much looser and I'm more muscular. I've also gone to eating whole grain breads and organic foods.
Joao - I envy where you live. Such variety of scenery. I always enjoy your photos and your hats.

For me today it's my VS Anasazi.

Wow, Che, great pictorial of you and Mike!

Lefty, indeed, I echo the sentiments of others. Simply a beautiful photo.

Love that dualist, Alan, and the shaggy cap too!

A fine start to the weekend, gents.

Richard--the Panizza is just spectacular. I have a soft spot for medium-gray hats with black ribbons. I'll be visiting the family next week myself and the plans seem to be shaping as nothing but meals. Loose fitting trousers will be in order.

Andy--I love that Anasazi. Good luck with the workout regimen. It sounds like like you have lowered the body fat and increased your muscle mass. It's a good thing that losing body fat doesn't change head size for most of us. That could be a problem if you have a large hat collection.

Joao--ahh, the luxury of not being able to decide which hat to wear. Beautiful color on the Stagecoach, and I like the ribbon treatment.

b-man--nice double play, sir.

Manfred--congrats on the lucky find! Beautiful.

che and Mike--do look me up. Those North Beach haunts are my playground, too. You ever been to Spec's?

I wore the Stratoliner this cool morning.

Thanks for the comments on the Panizza, definitely one of my favourite hats. I'm still on lookout for more that have a moderate or wider brim.

Joao - that Resistol is a wonderful colour.

Andy - lovely looking VS.

Jeff - a nice pair, particularly the Wellington.

Manfred - that's a wonderful Melone!

Che - a great photo of three rogues wearing three great straws :)

Michael - looking very sharp!

che, you're making me hungry, man. As for Specs, I'm not too particular. Some other NB spots are better, I'll agree. My wife is part Italian, we hit some of the old family-style restaurants, especially when her cousins are in town.

Sounds like a plan. No tourist traps! I like walking up to the window at Golden Boy. Current fave is Sodini's up the block.

AnA--I like the sepia look to match the boater.

jhe--my brother in Houston bought a Tilley for the same purpose.

Almost forgot that I participated in Fawcett Friday yesterday after I got finger printed at the SF Hall of Justice....it's a long story, but I'm not in jail, I'll just say that.
