Richard and Manfred, we would like to have some of your rain here. The region just recorded the driest year on record, and what is normally our rainy season has not materialized. People are beginning to discuss water rationing, and the governor has asked for a voluntary reduction in water consumption.

With unusually warm temperatures, I wore the lightweight, unlined Stetson Playboy. The trucker jacket came off shortly afterward.

Michael - great hat and double denim look. You'd be welcome to some of our rain - a little way west of me they've had roads that have been under water for a month.

Looking like a true road warrior G.D. classic get-up.

Fine Stetson Splintercellsz, and a good looking coat too. Plenty cool.

A shot of warmth your way, fellas - can you ship a block of ice down here?

My 'new' 1920's cotton 8 panel cap, with my 1910 gutta-percha eyeglasses. Oh, and a lotta front-yard Buddha's Belly bamboo.

Sudden overnight winds are gusting at peaks to over 50 mph! No rain and certainly not wearing any hats tomorrow with that kind of wind.

Aw, what the heck; I'm going to risk wearing my wool felt "Indy" hat
today. The overnight gales are dying down to a "livable" 20-something mph today. Wind chills in the negative single digits though this morning and a forecast high ("standing still" temp) of 21. Might as well freeze in comfort and favorite style, right?
