Hello all, These lids are all too wonderful to call out specifically, although g.durand, that Stetson is wonderful!

delectans and mayserwegener - Always great to see fellow fencers on the forum (Very poor, but enthusiastic Epee and foil-ist here).

Went with a stingy Biltmore Milan in Canada today (an opportunity to dust it off as I prefer wider brims now - we all buy hats that later on we're not so sure about!).

Steve - that Habig is a beauty.
Hamilcar - hat looks good, and the bowtie is fine, they're much like hats - need to be worn with confidence!
Joao - Looks like a perfect choice for a one hat break to the Algarve
g.d. - that Playboy always looks great
VTPorkpie - I like that stingy - I think it's good to have a variety of styles and characters, they all have merits.
Justin - that's beautiful - I love the broad ribbon.

Steve, thank you, sir!

Richard, lookin' good! I too love wide ribbons!

Zombie, hahaha, you got it!!

I have never shaved that stache off... man does it feel weird, but with the Army on the horizon, better get used to it now. Plus it was a compromise between myself and my girlfriend. She had to take her Tongue piercing out for the Army, so the stache had to go, so she could see what it looked like before she left.

For me this warm and rainy Saturday morning in Central Ohio I'm wearing my 3X Open Road. This is one of my hats that I'm going to have resized...I need to size this up from a 7 to a 7 1/8 LO. Which leads me to a question. Will I lose any brim width off this hat if I have it sized up?

This is when a vintage hat stretcher with a sizing scale can be very handy, and I bet that is the device your hatter will use. If so, I would not expect a loss of brim. I have just purchased a 7 1/8 long oval crown block from the Beaver Brand factory. Please PM me if you would like me to remove & replace the sweat and re-block your hat at a very reasonable price.

delectans, splintercellsz, hatsRme, mayserwegener, T Jones, ManofKent, Chepstow, hatophile:

Thank You for your kind words! I personally dont like Stingys on me because the tiny brim makes my big head seem even bigger... For example ManofKent looks much better with Stingy!

HamilcarBarca3: Really nice Selentino! Wonderfull colors.
Joao Encarnado: I Like your style, sir!
g.durand: Marvellous!

Today I´m wearin (again) my Stetson Biscoe. It´s not a particularly fine quality hat and it´s not vintage but it fits like a glove and I´m loving it. My favourite hat, a real keeper.

After all the comments yesterday on T Jones' black Squatter, I decided it was Black Tuesday for me. Hopefully no crash this time.

Welcome, Nick, you look good in that Biltmore! Great that you are fencing epee as well as foil. Gone are the days when it was the norm to fence all three weapons...

Al, lovely photos, and sweet hat!!

I like your clean-shaven look with that lovely De Pinna, Justin. Thanks for the nod yesterday. :yo:

Qvist: That looks great on you. I have the opposite problem - I only wear stingy brims because of my small head.

Ghost Rider - I have a very long, narrow face. So narrow that I sometimes get my glasses in the kids section. But I'll wear tall, straight crowns and wide brims. Since wearing fedoras is out of the ordinary to begin with, a larger hat really isn't that much more out of the ordinary. When I put on a stingy brim I feel more self-conscious than when I'm wearing an Akubra Campdraft or Fed IV.

I know what you mean about children's glasses - I have done the same ;)

My head is not just narrow, but short as well. Maybe I should try a larger brim, but that ones I've tried so far look like an umbrella on my head :D
