Great hats today guys.

David I must comment on the new hat. I am really liking the contrasting ribbon and felt combination.

Today I'm wearing my Tesi sisal straw hat.

Today Mallory Stowaway:

Lovely lid; Superbly worn, Mano!

All great hats over the past few days. Better than last week... (we all get better EVERY day!)
A shoulder injury has me semi-sidelined for the time, but I'm here. Reaching the keyboard is a challenge, but cocking my hat is even tougher.

Sam - the Carmack is just about my favorite of your hats. The proportions work really well for you.

Tom - let's face it, a good 7XCB is hard to beat!

David - (Your and) Tom's work on that monticristi have done wonders. I love that silverbelly too.

Thanks so much, Richard. I like your look with the Mallory today, but an extra 1/4 inch of brim would work wonders :)

David I must comment on the new hat. I am really liking the contrasting ribbon and felt combination.

Thanks, John. I think the Silverbelly/black ribbon combo works very well.
Nice sisal straw you have today. I remember (from my sea-scout days) sisal being used as rope, rather like hemp. I assume your hat is made of the same stuff?

That is one nice Montecristi DJH! Is that the one you bought off ebay and had some work done to it? It doesn't get any better Brent Black! Very nice!

Yes this is the one. It was a bargain eBay purchase, but arrive pretty much squashed flat, with a dry cracked sweatband. I was able to reblock to a shape I liked and Tom added one of his high quality sweatbands and used a ribbon I had from an old 1950 Churchill hat I never wore.

Even though the pinch is held together with tape on the inside (there were a few broken fibers from the poor packing job), I'm really pleased with the hat.
