David, great lookin' BSHW!

Alan, I really like the color on that Mallory! What finish is that? Looks soft, yet sharp! One of my favorite lids for sure!

ManofKent, you don't need an excuse to wear that boater, you look great in it!!

Che, superb Panama!

Today, I am going with the Pre-WWI Peschel Velour. It will be a bit hot, but later on it will cool off, making a nice day for walking.

Nice Panama, Che, including the ribbon. Is that Toot's in Crockett?
Hi Geldoc !
Toot's In Crockett it is indeed, a friendly dive......
My Mom lives on the hill behind it.
Art Fawcett whom fixed up the Panama im wearing had a huge Vintage Clothing store a block down from Toot's on Pomona st a looooong time ago...
Say you mentioned Port Costa a while back & i never replied,

a Great Bar there !
Still a lot of daring cyclists frequent the road in & out
& only a short scenic drive east of Crockett & yes the Hotel a Bordello of days past is a great hideout.

Nowadays a frequented watering hole for Bohemians, Artists & weekend warrior bikers..
Great scenic sleepy time capsule towns untouched from modern development, both Crockett & Port Costa

Today I am just starting to break in my new Akubra Campdraft such a comfortable hat, at first I wasn't prepared for the size of the View attachment 1559 hat as I am used to wearing slightly, smaller brims and slightly lower crowns, but must be honest it's grown on me, and the more I wear it the better it feels.

It looks great on you! The Campdrafts do feel a bit large, I guess it has something to do with the fact that it is a larger hat. I've owned and flipped two of them as I was unable to get used to the size. However, I've been kicking around the thought of getting a third... There's something about the CD that just calls to me.

Hello Che,

Your commentary about the towns around the Carquinez Straight brings back fond memories of my Bay Area roots and times. I remember all those bars. Had no idea that Art had been there! I remember finding a great hat in Tracy some years ago. Look forward to returning.
Best wishes David

Oh yeah, while sporting my Stevens straw, we hosted a BBQ on the deck and made a new garden spot in our backyard. It was a lot of hard work but we want to grow some veggies instead of buying them. I hope the rain holds off until we've planted all our seeds and baby plants.

Modern Olney boater.

That is a terrific photo, MoK. You have a really good look going there! It reminds me of The Music Man. Lovely hat!! :yo:

Mallory courtesy of my good friend Josh who likes his crowns tall.

A super hat, Alan. That shade of green is very sharp. Josh crowns them well. I like what you've done with the brim; very classy.

Gray beaver mix Thoroughbred Pedigree.

Good lookin' hat, phebus! You really brought that to the table; er... church. :)

That hat looks like it was custom made for you. I'm a fan of tall crowns; BRAVO!! The wider brim gives it a lot of presence. Keep wearing it!

I'm wearing my VS Strat-clone in steel today:
