g-durand, great Whippet, looks a bit like my Mayser Superbe!

Thank you, Manfred, I believe the Whippet and your Mayser have similarities, yes.

hatophile--thank you, too, sir. Like the OR.

Jockos--another good portrait. Happy to hear that it has warmed up there.

wine65--although I've yet to comment, I've been admiring your new semi-colado.

Alan--nice choice for NYC.

gtdean--good lookin' Stetson.

DJH--the Garrison fits the setting, a walk along the tracks. I recall it from other posts. What is the felt color?

Mallory Twenty this morning.

Ah, this thread moves so fast!

+1

You're not kidding! I thought I only took a day off this thread. It's definitely been about a week, and there are sooooo many pages that I can't even catch up with. Some to note:

Perry - That was a great Panama from PHD; I'll have to look in to that site. Just bought a Barlesoni panama off of Etsy for a deal. Will post next week.

Alan - Looks like a tiring flight. I wish I could sleep that well on a plane. I went to England in 2006 and couldn't get a wink! I was so tired when I got there, and we had to stay up so we could adjust the next day.

g.durand - The Mallory is a treasure. Beautiful hat! :thumb:

David - Cool shot on the tracks with your pups. :yo:

case and Manfred - You guys sure can rock those caps! Bravo, gents.

It was cloudy and overcast today. It's been raining at least once or twice a week for a while here in Atlanta. Not complaining, but it ends up changing weekend plans. Hopefully, it will be nice at the pool tomorrow for my daughter's birthday.

I decided to wear my Champ milan today. Between my 3 straws, this tops them as my favorite...

g. fine Mallory sir.

AnA, I can see why it's your favorite straw. I want......

Finally got an iPhone and snapped this seconds after getting it, raining outside. Simonds wool cap:

Good afternoon. Great hat pics and quips folks. Tom, sorry to hear about the "hickory" beating your barn took. Glad that no animals were hurt. I share the frustration as it never seems you can do enough to keep up with chores and then nature whoops you and then keeping up takes a back seat to repair. I tip my hat your direction, mostly south east, hoping to add enthusiasm to your efforts.

Just got home from gymnastics practice and took the dogs out. It is post rain and 82'F. Yuck! My Ecuadarian Milan, aquired from Robert ( Thanks again!), is riding on top of my head this afternoon. Tired and sitting with intentions of enjoying the lakeside view with a chocolate milk stout. I am already feeling the effects of inertia as I am sitting and typing.

Great milans... great hats all around. Congratulations on your new camera, Mike - the cap portrait is compelling. Tom, sorry to hear about the damage - glad the hurt wasn't worse.

Finding just a little time to get out of the Javits Center and enjoy the sights and sounds of the city.

Beautiful milan Eric but I prefer my chocolate straight ;)

Swell day Alan and talk about compelling pictures, you've really captured the vibrancy of NYC. Your first pix is amazing.

Great pix of you too Justin!

Very dapper Orange, Taupe is a versatile color.

David, that is a nice phot with the dogs, looks like a great Adventure!

Thanks, Manfred. We have some nice places to take the dogs for some walks. This one is good because they have access to the river to cool off on warm days.

DJH--the Garrison fits the setting, a walk along the tracks. I recall it from other posts. What is the felt color?

Thank you, GD. David Garrison makes some really nice hats and this Indy version is one of my go-to's for outdoor stuff. The felt is dark brown.

I like the Mallory you were wearing yesterday.

David - Cool shot on the tracks with your pups. :yo:

Thanks, AnA. I can see why that Champ is a favorite of yours. Very nice hat for the warmer weather.

Looks like a fine day David, just don't play chicken.

Hey Mike, this is still an active track but trains are few and far between - just freight trains. I've yet to see on on one of our walks.

Great shot, Eric - well worth another look I'd say!

Alan - very nice NYC photos and it is a treat to see our friend Ale.

David, great shot, cute dogs, and fine lid!

Thanks so much Splintz. I love your vintage look photo with the cap - very cool!

Andy - very cool look with the suit and the Borsalino

Paul - can't go wrong with a VS and yours suits you very well.

OK, a couple of hats for me today.

Early morning wearing a Whippet whilst waiting for my wife to be ready so we can go to the gym (I swear she thinks it's a fashion show!)

Warmed up a lot later in the morning. Doggie outing with my son who is visiting from the UK - get more variety of photos with him around. I wear this Bailey of Hollywood hat way more than I expected I would after I won it.

Enjoy the remainder of the weekend everyone!

Lovely day in the city for my Canadian Stetson Open Road Panama. I've been conditioning the leather sweat with Shea butter and stretching this 6 7/8 to fit me...bottom of the crown now is a bit bulgy. May need a reblock...but hey, its still keeping the sun out of my face!

A lot to see again on this thread. Thanks especially to Delectans for the copious and beautiful photos, and even more vivid, vid clips. Wonderful, Al!

The past few days for me were spent enjoying and opening our cabin in northern Vt. Some time in my Dobbs olive green Milan, some in the trusty Panama Bob cuenca closeout.
